In my opinion, this is for those who don't have any high cap mags, or have the mag bodies without the internals and don't want to wait for Russia to feed us some. Edit: While I have your attention, my Saiga .308 came with only a 5 round magazine instead of an 8 (it looks like the 8 rounders).
