csmw 98
This is how I made our 12.5" guns run on birdshot with standard gas-tube length. Angle drill all four ports to .113 (or max without breaking through into surrounding ports). Open up gas-block relief hole with drill, coming up from bottom of block, until there is gas clearance for all four holes. Angle MILL 1/8" using end mill, adding 5th port, diagnally, on the side of ports opposite of the spring-loaded plunger. Mill offset on relief hole, so all 5 ports are exposed. One large hole, then come in offset with end-mill to clear 5th port hole. Use my 6-position gas-regulator mod, to fine-tune weapon as needed. 12.5" works with Rem and Win birdshot. Win has soft crimp, sometimes catches on extractor relief on bbl during feeding....not gas related. Very clean ammo. Rem does not hang up on extractor relief but does run dirtier. Hope this info helps someone out there in SaigaLand. Matt C&S Metall-Werkes. Edited August 4, 2007 by C&S Metall-Werkes

eodinert 1
Wow, thanks. I just posted a question about this very topic. For those of us that are kinda slow, do you have a picture? I can't quite wrap my brain around what you are describing.
