To make it legal, you need 10 or less imported parts, a stock Saiga .308 has:

(1) Frames, receivers, receiver castings, forgings or stampings

(2) Barrels

(3) Mounting blocks (trunions)

(4) Bolts

(5) Bolt carriers

(6) Gas pistons

(7) Triggers (sear)

(8) Hammers

(9) Disconnectors

(10) Buttstocks

(11) Forearm handguards

(12) Magazine bodies

(13) Followers

(14) Floorplates

The ones in red you buy as US made, that's 4 parts so far US and 10 imported. Then you add the US pistol grip and you have 5 US parts and 10 imported. You could also change out the gas piston or handguard for US made units instead/in addition to the others depending one what you want.

The trigger housing on the Saiga is the receiver and this is thus one part, not two. Some firearms, like the SKS and HK weapons have seperate 'trigger housings'. It's the same way with the trigger/sear; on the Saiga it's one piece.
