notenoughtime3 0
Could you do a bullpup conversion on an S-12? The ejection port would be a pain if you were shooting left handed, but I think it would be interesting to see. Holo-sight, light, bayonet. Compact and nasty.(Not quite as neat as the Tromix micro) No tax stamp either.
jrance@iacwds.com 716
Probably so, but between the mixed success and the ejection port next to your ear you might put your eye out. 1911

dayanx 1
I tried one of those out. the grip kept getting in the way of the magazine in loading/unloading
kresk 10,063
The trigger linkages are notoriously crappy on the bullpups.
Azrial 1,091
Reloading a bullpup requires a different method. Turn the gun on its right, side holding it by the pistol grip, that is the correct technique. Bullpups are the future. Edited September 15, 2007 by Azrial
dayanx 1
yeah but I think the S-12 bullpups would be easier to load extended mags because they are straighter then the centerfire mags
BobAsh 582
Bullpups are the future. Well, maybe your future. I don't care for them, and apparently I'm not alone. The design is not new, but still quite obscure.

Otherwise, the action and your cheek weld are one in the same...
Bayoupiper 738
Some of the newer ones, like the Tavor can be set up to eject out either side.

Otherwise, the action and your cheek weld are one in the same... Check out the Kel-Tec RFB...instead of ejecting right or left, it ejects forward, over the barrel. Problem solved! I've been vainly petitioning they work their RFB mojo on a 12-gauge, but that probably won't happen...

The design is not new, but still quite obscure. The gentlema is correct. Cutting the M-4 down over and over is only destroying the ballistics and terminal performance of the AR platform. The Israelis have just overcome that nonsense with their new AK variant the Tavor. That represents 300 meter headshots (the full-sized barrel) in a compact rifle (M-4 sized) with legendary AK performance and reliability. Bullpups ARE the way of the future!
