Mindfork 0
Do you think this Leapers pistol mount flashlight is strong enough to do duty on an s-12? http://www.jsesurplus.com/index.asp?PageAc...&ProdID=440 I know there's only one way to *really* find out, but if it's going to die in 100 rounds I don't want to bother. Thanks, MF
1liter 20
I'm not positive on that model, but I use a M3 flashlight that double duties for my Glock 22.
kmoore 3
I've never been impressed with leapers quality. YMMV. Buy quality, cry once .....
chance3290 0
I don't know that light but, like 1liter, I've been using an M3 on my Mossberg for years without problem.
Thunderbear 2
leapers = garbage. Streamlight, $ureFire, DigiLight, Pentagon, or Pelican.. outside of those, you're probably wasting money. Edited October 13, 2007 by Thunderbear
ck43001 12
That thing looks like a waste of money. For a shotgun, I'd go with a light with a LED bulb. I recently bought a couple LED lights from Pentagon and they rock; so far.

If you are going with a light light (he-he) i'd go with a Surefire G2. They at least have a warranty, are used by some LEO, and have a good reputation. For the same price: http://www.surefire.com/maxexp/main/co_dis...r/878/sesent/00 This will last longer until it quits. Many lights will last a few shots, but if you plan on shooting many rounds of 12g recoil with one. Good luck. I have a few hundred rounds of no blink, no quit from my G2 on an AR, but I don't think you will find any light that will last through extended abuse of high powder recoil. Mindfork 0
Good advice. I just looked at Tromix and the only s-12 on his site with a light is a streamlight TLR2, but I don't need the laser, so the TLR1 looks promising: http://www.lapolicegear.com/sttlwe.html Easy on and off, so I can just pull it off for target practice. Thanks all, MF
Azrial 1,091
LED lights are are more likely to survive a heavy recoiling weapon. I have also found that a cost effective mount for a flashlight on a heavy recoiling weapons is a 30mm aluminum scope ring and a piece of rubber used as a collet or spacer for a 1 inch flashlight. This will approximate the shock mounted bezel of the Surefire weapons lights.
