efarmer21 0
Opinions on best (cheap but reliable) ammo for Saiga-12? Buckshot, not slugs or bird... Thanks
notenoughtime3 0
Opinions on best (cheap but reliable) ammo for Saiga-12? Buckshot, not slugs or bird... Thanks Remington OO Buck at Wal-Mart is pretty cheap. Wolf may be a good bet if bought in bulk.
Bvamp 604
sellier and bellot (dont know if I spelled it right) is alright, but all cheap buck only has 9 pellets to it. I prefer 3" win super X 15 pellet, myself, although it isnt low priced.
Etek 32
Speer Lawman and Federal 00 Buck function flawlessly in my 2001 22" Saiga on either gas setting. Accuracy of both are quite good as well. No issues with 'Flattened' top shell left loaded in mag either.
wally 2
The S&B buck is 12 pellet for 00 buck and 14-16 for the 0 buck I have shot both in my S12 with no problems,Walmart has 15 rd packs of Remington 00 buck for $7.
GTwannabe 1
Remington express 2 3/4" buck shoots very well through a full choke. I leave the same 5 rounds in my magazine on a closed bolt and haven't had any flattening issues with those shells. I check that they'll feed periodically, but the same shells has been in there for at least 2 years now without any trouble. Wolf shoots OK, but deforms too much through my full choke and patterns best from my modified.
Twinsen 86
S&B 2-3/4" Magnums have worked flawlessly in my Saiga better than anything else, I think because of their length. I used the 2-3/4" magnum #4B and #00B, they're awesome. A lot of people that shoot low-recoil (low power) 12ga in speed competitions hate the stuff, but I think it gets the job done beautifully. I know a couple stores around me that sell it at $4.25 for a box of 10. Cheaper than I see it online.
cbear 0
I've had good luck with Wolf and Nobel Dynamit
middlem2 0
I like S&B #4 from CTD and Wolf 00, that is what I used at KCR. Nobel 00 seems wider and is not as reliable. I would add that Federal #7 is great with clays.
