scope mount?

Recommended Posts

The AK side mount is definitely the way to go, a few places have them in various styles, or you can get a Russian optic with the side mount built in.

Check these places, Youll have to email Tantal for a price list, its worth it, he is great to deal with.

I got lucky with my dust cover rail I bought at a gun-show. Yes, you have to expand the ejection port a little. Mine was a super tight fit (as in big rubber mallet is required to get it on or off). Doesn't move at all after a thousand rounds or so --- could get loose over time though. Really makes complete cleaning a pain though getting that darn tighter then a %^@#^# cover on and off.

I bought a scope mount like the one pictured. Mounted a red dot and cant even see where its hitting! Any help? Do they normally shoot high? Left? What? I even moved to 25yds. Once on paper i can walk it in, but I cant even see where my shots are going.

Bring it back further, like when you learn to shoot pistol, start close and walk it out, its easy to see whats wrong at 10 ft and correct it from there. Those laser boresighters are great to avoid these things too. Wallys has them for $30 or so, worth every penny.

It sucks if its hard to get to the range and when you finally do, you get a snag like your describing. Its always when the range is packed, and everyone looks at you like your an idiot who doesnt know how to shoot as you bring your target in closer and closer.
