MikeD 541
To all customers, I have received another delay in the completion of my molds. I am supposed to receive test units from the molds on 12-27-07. I was told this was a tentative date, meaning it could slightly vary. One plus I feel though is this is the first time I have received a set day. Before it was varied in the weeks. If all is well with the test units I should be able to start shipping production units within 2 to 4 weeks of receiving the test units. I would like to offer an apology and a thanks for your patience by giving everyone with an order placed on and before 11-26-07 an extra cover for free. I will have 3 cover options; Clear (as shown on the site), solid black, and transparent smoke (kind of like light tint sunglasses). Please don't send your selections yet. I will be updating the site in the next few days or so to show the options. After I have this done I will send out an email asking for your selections. Everyone with an order status of Paid, Deposit Received, and Pending will receive an extra cover for free. A lot of you with pending orders have contacted me asking why I haven't charged the deposit yet. I was having some issues with the cc processing company. They was holding a considerable amount of funds. I charged the deposits on orders placed up to 9-20-07. The processing company was holding the funds for orders processed on 9-12-07 to 9-20-07. I stopped processing the deposits because the cc processing company was collecting the funds from the customers and charging me the processing fees for collecting but wasn't forwarding the funds to my account. The issue has finally been resolved and I will start processing the deposits on orders again tomorrow, 11-28-07. About 20 or so of you have chose the "call-in cc" payment option. There is something I feel you should know. The only difference in the online and call-in cc payment option is with the online option you enter your card info online and the call-in option I enter the card info online. I am assuming you chose the call-in option to prevent your card info from being sent over the Internet. I will wait to process these orders until I hear from you. You can either mail in your payment or you can give me permission to process it online. I no longer offer the call-in payment option. Again I am very sorry for the further delay. I was really, really hoping to be shipping before Christmas. I tried to allow a lot of extra time with the estimated ETA and never thought it would or could be pushed back this far. I am almost a week behind in responding to my emails and posts and hope to have them caught up by mid-day tomorrow. Please give me one more day to get your questions answered. Again truly sorry, Mike Davidson
headshot 52
Thanks for the update. I know its hard to deliver bad news to a bunch of eager pre-payers. I know that you are just as eager for the release of the product as I am to receive it. I already know how this makes a new product manufacturer to eager to release details, if only for the benefit for the consumer. Just look at FBMG(20rd mags for s308) and Magpul(UBR stock and Masada). I am patient. The drum is an accessory for my toy, and I am not a guy who uses my S12 in the field or as part of my job. I do not expect an army of home invaders, but if they do come I got plenty of 8 and 10 rounders for them. I still can wait to play with the drum though!
trukreltrog 8
Thanks for the update. Delays are to be expected. Take the Magpul UBR stock for instance, delay after delay. Don't rush it and release an inferior product.
mavrick16o 6
not angry, i agree with headshot. would have loved to have had it before x-mas, but as long as it comes in before my birthday. i can understand; things always get messed up when business is out sourced. HateTheSnow 29
The update is much appreciated Mike. We're all dying to get our hands on the drums, but I commend you for taking the time to make sure we're all kept in the loop. And the extra cover for those of us who have been waiting was also a very nice touch. Unexpected given the pre-order discount price, but very much appreciated! This is the type of service that builds customer loyalty, and by reputation alone, brings in new customers. Keep up the great work!
Garys4598 1,065
I whole-heartedly agree with what everyone else has stated to this point. Additionally, I hugely appreciate the extra drum cover as well. THAT'S customer service and relations at its finest! (IMHO) Mike, I don't care if the drums take weeks longer than expected before they hit the post office. JUST DO YOUR BEST TO INSURE THE PRODUCT IS AS GOOD AS POSSIBLE; PRECISELY THE WAY YOU WANT IT, PRIOR TO SHIPPING IT TO YOUR CONSUMERS. Naturally, the point being is that IF the drums were somehow substandard upon there shipment release.... Trying to "fix things with customers after the fact" would be a nightmare that I wouldn't care to imagine. Anyway Dude, I'm sure you catch my drift. Keep up the good work!!!! ..... ..... ~Gary Edited November 28, 2007 by Gary

termite 463
As I have to tell some of our customers, "Do you want it know, or do you want it RIGHT". Actually did ask one guy today if I needed to come UP THERE, rip his head off and crap down his neck. He's a good customer and asked if I'd buy the beers afterwards. I am working on some "new" parts for the pumps that we build, and have been waiting for over 10 months on them to arrive, but new aluminum patterns, then trial castings, and all the BS that goes with developing something takes time. The delay has not been the castings, but getting the patterns almost to the quality of investment casting parts, some on here may know what that is, and it AIN'T cheap. Mike, I'll just use the 10 round mags to blast away and eat "deer" stakes on Christmas. :):) I might even mount that glowing nose at the top of the hill, and if I get the "fat man" early enough, I'll have toys galore, always wanted a Red Rider BB Gun, but I might put my eye out. Just keep us informed. Rome was not built in one day
Twinsen 86
Thanks for the update, and as Gary stressed, we all care about quality and function over everything else.
MAC_TEK 0
Thanks for the update. I agree with all the above. I would love to have them sooner rather than later (like everyone else) but you know what? I am in no rush. Better to wait and get them right. I am sure most would agree. Take your time bro it's all good.
joelrod47 373
S'okay, Mike.............. ...........just think how sweet it's gonna be when they do come in !!!! Anything worth having is worth waiting for................. I know it's gonna be good!!
kyhelo 5
Same here as the rest of the folks. Thanks, Mike, for the updates and the info. If this is any indication of future customer service, there shouldn't be any complaints. As for the offer of the extra cover, yeah, I'd like an extra one. However, I'm willing to pass on that just to help out a little, to support the way you're doing business so far. In fact (and this might be an unpopular idea), how about all of us pre-order folks supporting this new business venture this way? (Set the flamethrowers on LOW)
ragnarock47 10
Yep, as everone else said Mike; no problems. Better to wait for a great product than being sent junk.

This order was placed when you had a few left in stock before this latest run. You haven't returned my emails.
