SaltPeter 6
Makc You poll indicates that 8 people want these, but you only have 5. You're gonna have some disappointed customers. Can't you get more? I'm closing on a house here within the next ten days and I'm strapped for cash. It appears that I'm gonna miss out on this laser if I wait, though. Silverfox 0
yes , i will definately buy one from you if you have them available..i am also planning on a front sight and threaded muzzle brake...you mentioned in an earlier post that you will be getting another shipment in 6-8 weeks?..does this include more of the laser sights?..i am one of the 8 "yes"voters but i can wait a few weeks if you will be recieving more in the relatively near future..one more quick question , from your picture of the installed sight i can see you have a front sight installed also , does the laser project thru the spaces in the front sight post or will i have to drill a hole?.. Makc 64
You are correrct! The version of the sight that you see on the picture (below) is for a non-threaded bbl and is designed to work with the laser. It has an opening for the laser beam to go through. The version of the sight that I have right now for threaded bbl will not work with the laser... I ordered those to be manufactured for me. It will be about 3-4 months until I get them. So, it is kind of either or situation... You can get the laser now - I have 3 left. (will have more in 6-8 weeks) And then get the sight in 3-4 months. or You can get the sight that cannot be used with the laser for a threaded bbl - I have 1 left. (will have more in 6-8 weeks)
Silverfox 0
great!!..thanks for the quick response and the pics(beautiful).. ok..i just have a few more questions then... first , do you have the threaded brakes available and if so what is the price?..i have checked on the website and i dont see a price listed there for them and they are labeled out of stock , i also dont see the lasers listed there... second ,do i go thru the website to make the purchase or do we exchange info thru another means?...i am interested in purchasing the laser and a threaded brake for now if you have them both , and will wait for the front sight till they come in . if you only have the laser for now i will wait on the brake too.. and thirdly , a question about the gas tube functioning with the laser installed...how will this effect the adjustment of the gas chamber?..i will be using a recoil buffer also..will i still be able to use 2 3/4 in. shells without ejection probs , in addition to the 3in. shells? or should i stick with the 3inchers while the laser is installed ? sorry for all the questions , but i find that this kind of education is far less expensive and dangerous than the alternative.. p.s. please put one aside for me , i have the cash burning a hole in my pocket , just waiting for the details to be worked out... JiiKoo 0
Has anybody tested that nice looking muzzle break? Does it really work? Compare this custom made (not so nice looking but really working) compensator to picture above.
Makc 64
Has anybody tested that nice looking muzzle break? Does it really work? Compare this custom made (not so nice looking but really working) compensator to picture above. Comparing a muzle break to a compensator? And how do you do that? The version that is pictured above does NOT have a compensator in it!!! If you really wanted to compare something than you really need to compare the version that does have a compensator in it! BTW JiiKoo, is the one on your picture made in Finland?
JiiKoo 0
Hey! That looks nice! Is it for threaded barrel? Does it work? Who is manufacturing those things? Where can I get one of those? Price? Yes. It was made by finnish firm called Practical Basement. Unfortunately Practical Basement doesn't exist anymore, so I am looking for an alternative product. Makc 64
Hey! That looks nice! Is it for threaded barrel? Does it work? Who is manufacturing those things? Where can I get one of those? Price? 1. Nope - this one is for unthreaded bbl. 2. Don't know if it works... Do not have one for S-12 yet to try... (the one on the picture is for S-20) 3. Russian Company - PRODIZ 4. In Russia, or here in about 8 weeks. 5. Price? We'll see when it gets here!
JesusCow 1
can you shoot shot shells with a muzzle break (for the S-20) ?
Makc 64
Sure... I do!
JiiKoo 0
> 1. Nope - this one is for unthreaded bbl. Hmm.. Is it possible to use it with threaded barrel?
Makc 64
Hmm.. Is it possible to use it with threaded barrel? Well... Everyting is possible... If you make a part that would screw on to the existing threads and be the same diameter as the barel on the outside (basically like a big nut, or a thread protector) than yes! Sure! But, you would need to make the part!

AK-308 2
does it lose its zero when you change the gas setting? Is it easier to change gas settings with this thing as opposed to the regular regulator?
sKott 26
I know this is an old post but is there any chance on getting any more of these?
6500rpm 670
sKott, I originally got the one I had from a good Russian seller that posts/lists as urals on this board and on Ebay. You can do a member search on both and see if you can contact him. Just keep in mind that if it has to come from Russia, your probably looking at 2-4 weeks wait time, and if it's still like it was a year or so ago, there's no sure thing. Someone else my have a better source now with the number of parts coming in these days.
Franky 2
No, not really on the laser. FMJ.
Blam 4
If the laser replaces the gas tube, are you still able to adjust the regulator to position 1 and position 2 with the laser installed?
kresk 10,063
If the laser replaces the gas tube, are you still able to adjust the regulator to position 1 and position 2 with the laser installed? Believe that's a negative.
Cobra 76 two 2,677
+1 on Urals...that's who I got mine from. And to answer the question about changing the setting...Once you zero it on one setting that's all you can use it for unless you re-zero it on the other. When you turn it 180 degrees to the other setting it will throw the POA of the laser off a bit. But it should be close when you turn it back though.... It IS also easier to adjust the gas setting with it because you can just grab it with your hand, also there are notches all the way around, rather than just two at opposite sides. Wow this IS an old thread! Never even saw it before. Thanks for digging that up. And there is mickporno's name too! Now I can send him an email and ask him if he ever got Dodge's shirt. Also another cool thing I didn't realize...that SOME OF the clamp on sights have that hole in them made for the laser to shine through. I always wondered why they didn't have the normal barrel type shight adjustment like most AK sights. I had to drill my own like that to use the laser on my AKS-12, and that is some REAL steel those Romy FSBs are made of, not that pot metal they make those sights out of. Thunderbear 2
Dammit, I saw this thread and got excited. Any ETA on muzzle devices listed for sale on the site, Makc, if at all? Cobra, sorry I didn't get out there this weekend, school and work shit conspired to get me. You free tomorrow at all?
Ironbarr 0
Well, it's been several years since the laser/sights, etc. were delivered to you'all... may I ask what the experience(s) has been? Thanks.
Cobra 76 two 2,677
I like mine. It's pretty cool. Nice to be able to blast from the hip and actually hit everything you are shooting at.
Ironbarr 0
Yep. That's how I feel about the G-19 w/CTC LG-619 attached. Gives old eyes all kinds of angles to launch "little leadies" down range, etc, etc, etc. Thanks for the reply.
Joeddox 1
I'll take one how much for the laser? I never see anything like muzzle breaks on the saiga 12 store in stock. I wish I knew how to find them on ebay. I've wanted a laser or light on my saiga 12 since its mainly for home defense. I was reading the whole post is the batteries rechargable?
einherjrar 0
If it's as you say, yeah, I want one. Using a norico flashlight/laser POINTER on mine, and it looks hokey as hell. I want the one that fits into the gas tube. /sold if as advertised.
nicklebon 27
+1 on Urals...that's who I got mine from. Anyone recently contact Urals concerning this? I've sent en email through ebay but not heard anything back. Thanks
