748 0
I have seen "50% full auto sear" or "80% suppressor baffels" and so on for sale. If you are on this web site I am sure you have to. Ok so how is this precentage determined and at what point does it become illegal? I know there are no set standards for any of this just though we might learn a few things by talking about it. When do these thing cross the line from materal or hard ware store/engine catalog part to a title 2 or 3 fire arm part?

There has to be a line somewhere. An 80% ak receiver is one that is bent, but has no holes, and no rails welded on. Usually they are made so that they can be finished by people with less tooling. The 80% is more of a benefit on the creators end because it keeps them from having to do any licensing. (No mfg & ffl transfer fees) I went the 80% route once on an ak receiver and probably wont do it again. Much less of a headache, and it's easier to resell.
