in my saiga 308 it shot ok just my weapon didnt like it i got 4" grp with it but that doesnt mean you will. 308 /7.62 i have had nothing but problems out of silverbear it keeps stovepiping (really dont like it), barnaul shot ok just my weapon didnt like it. wolf shoots just fine for me

I found a range test done on the "AK47 Review".

 

"The results. Of the four types we shot, the two 'bears' were best. followed closely by Wolf (black box) with Golden Tiger in last place.

Based on the information and photos in the posting, I think the Brown Bear is the better buy. Besides, Brown Bear ($190 per 1000) is only $5 more than Golden Tiger at $185 per 1000).

I read a similar report a couple of years ago that said the Barnaul SP out performed several others tested and had better bullet expansion (mushrooming) than the rest. I bought a case of it I keep for hunting and when the zombies come. Too bad it has gone up so much from the $70 I payed for that case. I wish I had bought more. Has anyone even seen Barnaul SP for sale anywhere lately? It's the blue box with the guy shooting a bolt action rifle on the front.

Yes that is acceptable by todays standards. Thanks for the link. They also have a great deal on some ammo I've never seen before, the 7.62x54r SP. Might have to snag some of that!

I bought a thousand rounds of 115 gr Barnaul 9mm ammo, and my Hi Point C9 pistol, Hi Point 9mm carbine and P08 Luger all eat it just fine. No complaints here.
