Thanks, I always hear how crappy the Romanians wood usually is, I guess I got lucky, both rifles have really nice wood and the rifles themselves are nice too I do have a soft spot for the skeleton stocks, although I think I may try something different with my saiga shotgun Quote Link to post Share on other sites
Twinsen 86 Posted February 16, 2008 Report Share Posted February 16, 2008 The wood on my Romanian WASR-2 is the worst wood I've ever seen in my entire life. I have a hard time believing it's even from a tree. It isn't soft, but it's brittle and splits and loses chunks easily. The laminate buttstock is the ugliest piece of wood I've ever seen as well. Im working on getting the ones that I figure they will ban the purchase of first. I dont think its a matter of if, but of when they do it.
