20" 223 wood handguard replacement

Hi,

 

I have the longer barrelled 223 Saiga which I'm trying to replace the wood furniture with plastic.

(I'm replacing the thumbhole stock with a dragunov style one as the wood one is rather small for my hand)

 

 

I've seen the Galil handguard but I doubt that it would look any good on the longer barrel.

But was wondering if anyone knows if Tromix Vented Saiga 12 OEM Handguard would fit? (as I like the vented look.)

I'm not sure if the one you have pictured there would work or not. It looks like the shotgun grip to me. That's not to say that Tromix doesn't have the .223 vented grip though. They probably do.

 

I have an extra .223 front grip that I'd be happy to trade for the wood one. It's the factory synthetic grip and has been painted OD green. It's not vented.

WOW! They made the S-.223 in wood with a thumb hole stock? I've never seen that before. Way cool! That's a lot like the S-.308 ver 2's.

I think dinzag sells an adapter that lets you use the shotgun forend on a rifle:
