I can't believe you guys like that thing. I just got one today and I'm ready to wrap the POS around a tree! :angry2:

I can't stand the angle cut receiver and shitty thumbhole stock. If I had known what was being ordered for me I would never have done it. All I wanted was a plain-jane black synthetic unconverted version---however, none could be found. If I can't find a fix for the slant receiver this POS may meet and unseemly fate. I am HIGHLY perturbed!

Tell us how you really feel. I like it because all the work of converting to pistol style grip was done. I don't mind the angle cut as i am not looking to change a thing. I would suggest to take it back to your dealer and call up centerfire. here is the link and it looks like the rifle you want they are taking back orders. who ever ordered it for you sure didn't do their research.

Just like I don't do thumbholes, I don't do backorders (a pet peeve of mine from the AR side of things). You don't have it I ain't waiting and I'll find something else or find it somewhere else.

As far as taking it back goes, my dealer trusted me enough to order it with no $$$ down and he isn't "Saiga-savvy" so I'll keep it I guess. I just need to find a stock solution. Maybe an ACE adapter, but I wonder if it will fit?

Seriously, thanks for the input.

I'm not sure, but for a $5 donation to the site(?)...you could place it in the classifieds to sell/trade. Members would probably jump on it with several offers to trade/buy. The shipping & FFL transfer fees could be avoided with a FTF(face-to-face)..at least they are here in Illinois where I'm located. If you're near Peoria, I've two wood-stocked 308's & love thumbholes for hip-shooting. BEWARE:Hip-shooting a norinco m-14 may get you a nice pinch from the hinged, steel buttplate! Also......Congradulations to Saiganoobie for getting his "new baby"!!!---Great pictures!!! Edited by john762

abnak,

John762 has a great idea, about searching the posts for a trade or sell it here on the forum. I am sure someone will snap it up. then if you don't get ehat you are looking for in trade you can get the gilberts guns weapon. good luck. I think trying to adapt a nother stock would be a PIA.
