Tromix Saiga's in use in Iraq

Recommended Posts

I received this e-mail 9/7/07 from one of our troops in Iraq. I got permission from the author to use it on the Tromix website, exluding his name. I thought you guys might be interested, so I am posting it here.

Tony Rumore

Tromix Corp

"It has taken some time to write you, as I recently returned from Iraq. First of all, I wanted to thank you. Whether you know it or not, at least 2 of your shotguns are serving in Iraq. I used your shotguns a lot and am working on saving the money to buy one for myself. The 2 we have in country have two nicknames, the "Ambush Buster" and the "VBIED killer" (Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Devise = car bomb). I do not know how they were aquired, but having been in the Special Operations community for over 10 years now, I know that new "toys" pop up all the time, and those that work are used quite a bit. Your shotguns work well.

I used your shotguns quite a bit from our helicopters, to engage and destroy insurgent vehicles (multiple 12ga slugs to an engine block do wonders), as well as shoot suspicious roadside boxes, dead dogs, garbage bags, etc.

When we off load from the helos, your shotgun was again an amazing weapon system. Ammo was sometimes difficult to get. I would trade items to Marines to get more ammo. Whenever we did have enough 12ga ammo, we did a lot of good work with those shotguns."

Nothing could be cooler than that.......

If you could squeeze a few more in, I say some of us Saiga -12 regulars pony up some cash

Have you make up a few and give 'em to some Troops that could put 'em to good use.

I SURE ain't tryin' to add any unwelcome work to your already full plate...

Just thinking out loud....

I know of at least one National Guard DIVISION ISSUING these to their entry guys.....I am sorry, I cannot say, but, seeing how Tony enlightened us all, I thought I would add that to it.....

Tony's wait-list is for a reason, ppl.......there are other guys that can do the work, and we here are trying to work with all of them and make them availible through our advertising here.....

I could not be happier than to see Tony post this! I just had to post again, with a little more info, and praise!

This is a HUGE endorsement for Tony, the forums here at saiga-12.com, and the current Importer!

I am glad that someone let you go public.

Tony's work ultimately speaks for itself.

To say his "shotguns work well" is a huge understatement, but hits the nail directly on the head !! (...........and boys and girls, it's not only the shotguns!!)

Tony goes the "extra mile" with his guns, and the resulting quality is evident to anyone who's ever

handled or shot one.............. I personally wouldn't settle for anything else........... :smoke:

I wonder how we can send a few cases of buck and slugs? I'd kick in some $ for the troops. It'd be great to know that ammo I personally provided was used to down some tango!

Can anyone supply/ship to the troops?

I'll bet we could come up with some serious cash just on this site!

I bet that gave Tony a bigger woody than "Viagra Bob" had after shooting the new pistol. Congrats Tony. But I don't think that we all can just start shipping 12ga ammo over there, it would most likely have to be coordinated thru the Mil to make sure it got to the correct people, and the gov has certain specs for EVERY thing. But I'd pony up $500.00 for ammo if it could be done, and done correctly so that we'd KNOW it got to the people that need it.

I would have traded my issue Benelli M4 for one of Tony's saigas. And I never worried about running out of ammo...know why? My weapon was in the TO. Supply never had a problem with getting me more stuff.

Although I don't know how that guy would have been able to shoot out of a helo. He's either one hell of a shot or those helos must fly really really low.

..."Viagra Bob"...

Man I catch a lotta shit around here! I thought us old bastards had to stick together!

I think he actually meant 'Enzyte Bob'. You know, this goofy bastard:

I swear, I can't help but laugh every time I see that guy.

As for Tromix becoming a US Guvmint Kontraktor, let's pray it doesn't happen. By the time I can actually afford a Tromix jobber, the waiting list will be re-opened. Besides, you know the Army's procurement types will try to low-ball the fuck out of Tromix, and that just ain't right. Let's keep it on the civvie side, and there will be peace in the Heartland again. Oh yeah, I need to make plans to drop by Tromix one of these days and handle one of those monsters myself. It's only what, a 2 hour drive from OKC to BA? :D

i'm guess the helo's fly low, if they got a crazy enuff guy to chase down vehicles the way the coast guard guys here chase down boats, they are REAL low, and def in range for a S12. I've had a few friends come back from their second and third tours over there saying some guys are getting stuff(weapons) sent to them somehow..they didn't know wtf was going on but the next thing you know, the guy next to you is shooting something uber fancy and...the magic word....combat reliable....which the M16 isn't *wanna fight about it?* lol anyways, good work tony! you da man, snap a beer to that one and try to find out where your guns went, i'd like to see what kinda shape their in after combat use

WOW, its one thing to use a Tromix shotty to defend the house, or blaze away at the range, but for a combat soldier to say that it is his choice of weapon to go into combat with?

Man that is the ultimate field test for a weapon! Also the ultimate compliment!

Congrats Tony!
