Bean.223 365
I understand that Izhmash has to make the Saigas "sporty" to follow import laws. So we here in the states must convert using the proper amount of US made parts. Questions is, why are WASR'S and other foreign made(non-Russian) AK's ok to bring in as is?? Am I wrong about that?? Or do people convert WASR's(and other AK variants)the way we do Saigas?? THANX!!! Edited March 3, 2008 by Bean.
nalioth 405
Century International Arms imports the WASRs in the same configuratiion as the Saigas come in. Century then mills open the mag well, so that they take military magazines and adds the necessary 922r parts. If you like, Century will sell you an original 10-round-only-narrow-mag-well WASR for a lot less than the converted ones.
