Stagecraft Chris 0
I hate to resurrect a dead post, no, Saiga's are Prohb. in Canada. I looked into it a while back. They are covered under Former Prohibited Weapons Order No. 13 (in effect since January 1, 1995) The firearm of the design commonly known as the AK-47 rifle, and any variant or modified version of it except for the Valmet Hunter, the Valmet Hunter Auto and the Valmet M78 rifles, but including the: (list of about 65 AKish variants removed) It comes down to the Saiga being a "variant" of the AK, even though the receivers are different. I think the best option for getting one is to make your own receiver and hope the CFC tech's don't notice that you've built a Saiga receiver. I think that the moved gas assembly and different number of locking lugs might throw them off. I'll have to look into it if I ever have time.
