HarvKY 72
I stopped by a shop as they were closing to pick up something on the way home. I noticed a couple AK's in 7.62, both I guess about 16" or so? and had them pulled down. The 2 employees knew less about AK's than I do - and thats a whole lotta nothing One with wood furniture wasn't overly impressive and I noticed on one of their store tags it had also had WASR10 written on there.. I kinda seem to recall comments on here that they are not necessarily one of the better AK's variants? Please correct me if I'm off base about that. The other had black synthetic furniture with the foreend really cheap feeling & a little loose, but it had some interesting features that caught my eye It had Ghost Ring Sight and the front sight was set real close to the gas block - NOT out front towards the barrel end. and they seemed small - not like a krebs, etc. It had a break/suppressor on it - not a style that stood out in my memory. I forgot to see if it was welded on, but I'm thinking that it was. The butt stock was a little different in shape in that it was rather square in the back and swept up and under along the bottom towards the receiver attach point. It had a Tapco G2 trigger on it with plain black pistol grip It is stamped: Made in Romania by CUGIR / 1.0 Inc. MFG Other markings are: G2273 - 07 RO and: STG 2000-C Cal 7.62x39 I'm trying to figure out exactly what AK this is. They have NO idea where it was made, who it came from , etc. It is marked as a NEW gun. I looked at something on an AK site that talked about the Romanian Model MK11 and also CUR-2. It mentioned that CUGIR was one of 3 factories where Romnians were manufactured - the others being RomTechnika? and SADIR? (which is the primary Romanian military supplier) The problem is those are listed strictly as 5.45x39 caliber weapons???? So.......... Can anyone on here turn me into an AK expert overnight? - I'd prefer not to have to spend a month living with Ivan in some hidden warehouse in Brighton Beach to learn about AK's or at least help me figure out if i should grab this thing. and by the way, the reason it really caught my eye was a little stamp shaped like a "Y" I'd appreciate any & all help anyone can offer. Thanx & Cheers HarvKY

Anyone out there have experience with this Interordance STG2000C ? I read up and it was based on the German Weiger rifle when East Germany decided to "improve" on the AK and sell around the world. One little problem occurred though .........something about a wall falling down HarvKY
