Jettster 0
I'm looking to convert it to the SAW handgrip and Tapco T6 butt, I don't think I can do this myself, how difficult it is really?
Bonesaw 1
not hard at all. If you can use a dremel and a hand drill you're good to go. If you want some instruction, PM Messiah Jones. He makes a conversion CD that walks you through it step by step, with pictures. Definitly helped me and now I've converted 3.

Cool, I'll do that, the only mods I've done to firearms were putting my SKS into a Tapco stock. Is there welding required? I Edited May 10, 2008 by Jettster
kresk 10,063
Is there welding required? Doesn't have to be. There are ways of trimming the trigger guard and welding it to the mag catch area but you don't have to go that route. You should be able to do it without any welding. Mucho details in conversion info.
rocinante 100
just read up here. If I, the guy that thinks a hammer can fix anything, can do two so can you.
zone1935 5
Another route which I am taking is that there are "diy" trigger guards which place a grip nut weldment behind the trigger guard. The tromix unit which should be available very soon also has a safety stop on it. This should take alot of the work out of the job.
