Tread Man 0
I think that on the Saiga 308 I just picked up that I would like to use some HIgh caps. But for 922r comp. I need to change out one part as I understand it. So if I elect the piston, who would have the one that I need? At this point I think that other than the high caps thats all I would like to do for it. Maybe in the future think about the pg and stock swap stc... Tread
Krull 0
I'm 100% sure you need to swap more then just one part.....maybe five if you don't want a PG
acercanto 6
If I'm not mistaken, Saigas come in with 14 countable parts (all foreign obviously). If you want to add an "evil" feature, you have to get that number down to 10 or less. With the Surefire magazines, you're down to 11. the gas piston swap would get you legal. The FBMG magazines are only 1 or 2 USA parts, I'm not sure. Dinzag has some parts of the FCG you could probably use to be able to use them legally. Sorry, I don't know anything about where you can get a US gas piston, or even if an AK piston will fit/be long enough. Acer
engbob 0
Dinzag has US gas pistons too ( i got one). so yea, if you use surefires and swap out your piston you're gtg
reoiv 1
If you are keeping it stock it is MUCH easier to swap out the hammer and disconnector than the piston.
engbob 0
+1 on ease of switching FCG parts out
