dobravery 49
Ok, it seems a lot of online dealers are out of Saiga's now. I know they are still available, but prices seem to be closer to $300. I have a spooky feeling that once more imports come in, $300 is going to be on the cheaper end of the spectrum. Does this seem to match up with anyone else's experience? I'm still recovering mentally from the price hike on VEPR's. Ironically, it feels like prices are dropping on entry level AR-15's. A new quality generic AR-15 priced about what a new AK or converted Saiga is (excluding WASRs). Edited May 29, 2008 by dobravery

BlackDog 1
2 different dealers tell me their Saiga orders are "held up" at customs ?!?!
kresk 10,063
2 different dealers tell me their Saiga orders are "held up" at customs ?!?! It always seems to take a while for each shipment to clear customs. I wouldn't read any more into it than that.
O.S.O.K. 0
Two things say "yes" to me. One, there is a healthy demand for them. and Two the dollar is weak and any new ones coming in will cost the dealers more US dollars to procure. I see them going up over $300 wholesale easy. I think it's going to happen for several reasons 1) The $ is way down in value 2) AK parts kits are getting scarce & expensive 3) Supply is down because the factory shut down to retool. I think we are going to be paying more for all of the AK style weapons. I don't think the prices are going down any time soon. I expect them to keep going up for a while.
