I've installed it myself. It took about 15 minutes to mark and drill two holes in receiver cower and to screw in and locktight two bolts included.

The most problems were caused by a frontsight. Krebbs peepsight is designed for AK and Saiga rifles, while Saiga-shotguns' frontsight is a bit lower. So I had to order and install a new higher (about 1/2") frontsight to solve a problem.

But in case of Saiga-rifles and Saiga-shotguns with a rib (not with fixed ironsight like my Saiga-20K) - there would be no problem.

Does it have a small aperture too or just that ghost ring?

It looks like it sits fairly high even for a rifle if you dont mind, could you measure the distance from the top of the cover to the center of the aperture?

There are both an aperture and a ghost ring. The whole sight is an exact copy of M16A2 backsight exept that there is no vertical ajustment wheel.

The distance from the top of the cover to the center of the aperture is 15mm (about 0.59"). This height fits AK-103-style Saigas and AK-74 perfectly: I've installed my reciver cover with Krebbs sight on a couple of rifles and no additional ajustments were needed to zero at 100 yards.

I emailed them and asked a week or so ago, they said they didn't have them ready yet, that the new design would allow a "normal" ( :D ) person to put one on and not have to take it ot a gunsmith. Unfortunately they said they dont know when that will be becasue all shop time and people are swamped with doing KTR-03S Veprs they build for Robinson.

It's a shame that Krebs' receiver cover sights are hard to get, they'll make any AK easier to shoot. I wanted to get one but got tired of waiting and made my own rear sight for my Saiga was using square tubing cut and welded into another square tube channel for protective ears. I then screwed the sight on my receiver cover and used a pen laser to aim thru the front and rear sights to mark the aperture hole which I drilled. After checking that the aperture hole was in the right place I had the sight welded in place. I then removed the open sights and painted the sight black. I had to trim the protective ears to allow using a side rail mount com-bloc scope so the sight looks like a FAL rear sight.

the site is showing that they are ready to order but at $75 bucks thats kinda steep.

that sight is the answer to all my par3 sight problems.

that is exactly what i was looking for. but at $75 i can get a 7/16 dovetail peep from somewhere and simply replace the factory notch rear sight.

I was hoping for the top cover aperture sight which I prefer over the replacement sight over the gas cylinder. It gives a better sight radius and is easier for me to line up over the replacement sights or open sights. Too bad Krebs discontinued that sight.
