sparx 0
I am currently waiting on the return of my beloved .308 from the gunsmith who is fitting a custom silencer/muzzle brake. Can anyone give me some info on what projectile type and grain, powder type and grain and any other tips to produce a round as silent as possible while still giving accuracy and knockdown on medium game (fallow and sika) out to around 100-150 meters? any help appreciated cheers Matt
Vorpal 0
This thread may be helpful to you. http://www.quarterbore.net/forums/showthread.php?t=280 I'm just starting to work on 7.62x39 subsonic. Good luck. vorpal
buckandaquarterquarterstaff 5
http://members.shaw.ca/cronhelm/762ProjectRifle.html http://members.shaw.ca/cronhelm/DevelopSubsonic.html Generally speaking, a semi auto rifle isn't the best choice for subsonic reloading. The pressures involved will not cycle the action. My state doesn't allow silencers and the like, but it's fun to read about.
G O B 3,516
Maybe heavyball in a subsonic X-39? A 180/200gr projectile with a slower powder? Enquiring minds want to know.
