JiiKoo 0
Is it possible to install manual Bolt-Hold-Open button on the Saiga 12 shotgun with a pistol grip? I want to use my Saiga in practical shooting, but changing the mags is painfully slowly..
loandr. 0
I think so. I assume you are LEO correct ? Pistol grip and all :-), MAKC would know best BUT i assume the Hold open could be installed on either model. loandr.
Silverfox 0
yes it is..if you check out Makc's website , under 'e-store' you will find the parts to do the conversion and an illustrated step-by-step on the installation procedure..the position of the hold open on the reciever does not interfere with a pistol grip , and in fact seems to be better positioned FOR a pistol grip...it would end up just above and behind the trigger on the right side bottom of the reciever(looking down the sights)...you can see a picture of one if you look thru some of the saiga rifles threads.... SaltPeter 6
I looked at those pictures on the Saiga 12 main site before and it looks to me that the hold open button shown would be right where the pistol grip is. I don't know if it would work.
Simeon 0
Well on my 7.62x39 PG converted saiga I have a manual bolt hold open. Let me know and I'll try and get some pics so you can see what that might look like.
Lagomorph 0
I've done the pistolgrip conversion, it was quite easy I might add, and the slidestop does not interfere with the grip. I think that the slidestop is in a very accessible location, with the exception that the stock slidestop on my saiga rubs against my trigger finger and creates blisters. This has happend twice and each time it only requires a few mags to make the blister start happening. I use tactical gloves(complements to blackhawk) for shooting my saiga and it helps alot. I would recomend the slidestop parts at the saiga-12 website, they apear to be better for the pistolgrip conversion. I still have to file mine round so its not so abusive when I shoot. Ill try to post some pics of my saiga so ya'll can see.
bigpond73 0
You can always file down the sharp edges of the BHO so they don't rub on your finger as bad. Mine is like that and I barely notice it. Hope that helps. Mike
