WardenWolf 6
I've decided I'm going to convert my Saiga .223, and it's a tossup between either this trigger group or the Red Star Arms adjustable. I'm not hugely picky, but I want a good, well-built trigger group that won't wear out prematurely and satisfies my parts count. Since you handle and sell these, what are your experiences with it? nalioth 405
I have both. The Tapco G2 is just fine. It's got excellent characteristics. The RSA is an adjustable target trigger. IMHO, using it on a Kalashnikov would be like putting a $8000 racing steering wheel in your Chevy Aveo. Bragging rights and not much else. . .
WardenWolf 6
Thank you. I'll probably have a local shop do the installation. I don't quite feel comfortable doing it myself, particularly since I'm not entirely sure how to properly remove and reinstall the retaining pins.

If you must throw your money away, drive up to Nevada. I believe they have some casinos there at Lake Meade. Field stripping Fire control removal. Reinstallation is just the reverse. It's so easy to do, you'll be wasting your money getting a gunsmith to do it.
WardenWolf 6
Well, there's a local place that specializes in AK's. I'll get a quote from them before I decide. Worst case scenario, they can always fix it if I screw it up. Note: just called the place, and I'm convinced thoroughly that they're scammers. They wanted to charge $400 and said you had to do lots of welding, cutting, etc. I call BS, because I've seen tons of pictures of conversions in progress and I KNOW it's not that complex. The Saiga's are already configured to accept a normal AK trigger group. You just take one out and replace it. But yeah. I'll definitely be ordering parts from Dinzag. Read0nly 0
... They wanted to charge $400 and said you had to do lots of welding, cutting, etc... You didn't ask them to install original AK FCG with select!ve f!re, did you? I got RSA FCG for my PSL and I like it very much (installed myself). I am now doing conversion on my Saiga with G2 double hook--need to drag my @ss away from computer to finish the job. Related post is here.
