DS12 1
Wanted to install an ace block on one of my saiga 12's and was wondering is there a tutorial for it somewhere? I don't want to screw it up and haven't found any threads so far that go over it in too much detail? thanks.
nalioth 405
What detail? You just hacksaw the tang off even with the end of the receiver.

I was gonna say 4" penut grinder with cutoff wheel, and then swap out to grinding wheel to clean up the cut. Maybe little paint or somthing to cover up the exposed metal. TonyRumore 1,332
You don't really need a tutorial to cut the tang off and grind it flush with the back of the receiver. Just put the beer down, look at it, and you can figure it out, no problem. Tony
Rustynuts 3
I used a 4" cutting wheel on my angle grinder to get it down to 1/4-1/2" and then went at it with a metal flat file. No wonder they call them BASTARDS! What a pain.
sicktooth 8
god dammit! why cant they just make an ACE internal without needing to modify the tang? can someone tell me why this NEEDS to work like this? It would be nice to be able to swap stocks back and forth...is this even possible to achieve?

You'll end up mounting your stock on the lower set of holes though, and it'll look (and feel) weird. . . . . BUT YOU'LL STILL HAVE THE TANG!!!

It tends to make you think before you jump don't it? btw, if you were to change your mind later, you could weld it back on. I can't imagine why you would want to. but it is possible. HillBilly2, that's not an internal block. That's their external block.
