rangerruck 0
I know that master's, and surefires, are considered 3 parts for 922. However, if you don't convert your 308 saiga, is it still then perfectly legal to use these mags, or do we still need to change out 1 other part?
nalioth 405
I already answered this elsewhere. Here it goes again: The Saiga rifles have 14 countable parts from the factory. Under 922r, you can only have 10 foreign parts when using 'evil features' (such as 11+ round magazines). Ergo, when using the US made mags in their factory rifle, one needs another US part in their rifle. This can be a gas piston, or fire control group part.
rangerruck 0
cool ,was not sure about that; if you buy a hicap from the above places, do they tell you this, in any paperwork that may come with the mag? I would think it strange if they did not.

I had a shop a few years ago and back then the parts were just marked "MADE IN THE US" or something to that effect. The parts I get on occasion now are marked just the same. I have never gotten any paperwork in regard to 922r. What I did was print out the 922r section from the batf website and keep a copy in my shooting bag just in case.
