Barrel mounted flashlight

Recommended Posts

I want to mount a flashlight on the barrel of my S12. What are some of my options?

I am currently using a barrel mount from Laser Devices and a Leupold 1" quick-release ring. I've had this setup on the gun for a few years now. It has been very solid, with no tendency to shift under recoil. Command Arms now makes a nearly identical barrel mount that is a bit less expensive.

I just added a MFI SpecOps flashlight to my S12.

It seems to be a private branded version of the J-Tech anti-shock Light Saber 2621W (http://www.justshop.com.tw/flash%20light/SABER.html).

I found a good review at AR15.com which has since aged off. However, the review is still available via the Google cache (http://64.233.183.104/search?q=cache:kxcrW...;cd=1&gl=us).

MFI has a great closeout deal consisting of:

1 - Flashlight

1 - Spare Bulb

1 - Push Button Activation End Cap

1 - Pressure Pad (9" Cord) Activation End Cap

2 - Batteries

all for $75 while supplies last (http://www.mfiap.com/smallarms/flashlight.htm). Extra bulb assemblies are only $10. Also, you can get a great single barrel mount also on sale for $30 (http://www.mfiap.com/smallarms/barrel-mount-single.htm). Scope rings are only $4 when ordered with a flashlight kit (http://www.mfiap.com/smallarms/1-ring.htm).

Edited to make links live.

This seems very interesting. Have you tried it yourself?

Yes, it worked great! The mount includes 3 different screw lengths - I used the longest ones for the S12. I did, however, forget to include the scope rings and picked-up a set of Simmons locally for $8.

I think this is going to be my solution. Thanks for the help.
