CardBoardBoxProcessor 0
Hey guys, I am having a hard time figuring out what to do. A red jacket .308 converted or converting it myself. red jackets look nicer then i could do myself but cost a tad more.
nalioth 405
Do it yourself, and you'll enjoy it a whole lot more.
cellsworth 21
It boils down to how much money you want to spend, how long you are willing to wait, and how confident you are in your ability to do the conversion yourself. Red Jacket does great conversions. However, their excellent work isn't free, so you will pay substantially more than you would if you did the work yourself. Also, they are busy, so you may have to wait awhile (check with Will at Red Jacket). A basic .308 PG conversion is VERY easy. Dinzag can set you up with what you would need. I especially recommend his .308 PG conversion FCG. If you want a more heavily modified Saiga, and are not particularly handy, then Red Jacket or another reputable shop that is known for doing good Saiga conversions would probably be your best option. Bayoupiper 738
Agree with all said above. I'd also suggest giving RJ a call and discussing it with him. Get a better idea of what you're looking at cost and time wise.

righttoown 0
When I got on the list back on May 4th for an S-12 conversion Stephanie told me 16 to 22 weeks. I talked to her a couple of weeks ago and she said they were just waiting for the barrel to come back and it would be ready to ship. She did say the hurricane but them behind a couple of weeks. Stephanie is very knowledgeable and has always been very kind when I have called to ask questions.

Bayoupiper 738
It all depends on the folder. There are several out there that take the ACE internal block and hinge. No cutting the receiver required. Naolith help me out here. Edited October 17, 2008 by Will
nalioth 405
Ace offers no-modification-required options for Kalashnikov variants. Ace also offers 'cut-the-tang' mounting options. All their line of stocks and stock accessories fits either of the options just mentioned. http://www.riflestocks.com
CardBoardBoxProcessor 0
so this would work? how does it attach and such... http://riflestocks.com/catalog/product_inf...products_id=345 Edited October 18, 2008 by CardBoardBoxProcessor
Bayoupiper 738
You attach it to the ACE block via screws in the two holes inside the hinge. Your stock then attaches with scres to the two slotted holes in the hinge.
nalioth 405
so this would work? how does it attach and such... http://riflestocks.com/catalog/product_inf...products_id=345 THe push button folding stock hinge attaches to either of the two blocks I mentioned in my post above. Any ACE stock (or compaible [ like Tromix]) then fits on the backside of the hinge.
Bayoupiper 738
You know the more I look at it, I think I'm going to put an ACE folder on my Romanian x39. I'll take pics while I do it..................
