I was thinking the same thing this morning when I first opened my eyes. I was thinking bumper stickers but...

 

He was elected by a bunch of racists and idiots, hell even pets and dead people got their votes counted! :killer: What right does he really have to live in the White House?

But your target!? I don't care if it's Bush or Obama you're "targeting," it's our Nation's mother fucking president (or elect at this time) if you like it or not. You really should reevaluate your ethics if you think targeting someone you didn't vote for even sounds remotely ok.

Agreed, ballistician! There's a line, and we need to be careful that we don't cross it. Assassination, or even a mention of it, is absolutely unacceptable, or we become what they are. We gotta work within the existing system; it's harder to do, but it will work and it will leave our consciences clear that we did the "right way." And if this system doesn't work, we need to vote in a new one, through the established process.

Agreed, but in light of the Democratic super-majority that may come to pass in the next six years, the current system may change a bit. And in truly good conscience, as patriotic or dutiful citizens, people should be prepared to judge in many different lights how these changes might affect our Constitution, and how they should act. I in no way advocate the assassination of a democratically elected figure, but if the shit truly hits the fan and "elected" gains an entirely new meaning all together (ala North Africa, Pakistan, ex soviet-bloc fashion) I would hope that people would start getting a bit more than just "vocal" with their criticisms of the government. It's amazing how rapidly a rocky economy and a bunch of crowds whining in the streets can begin forcing actual change.

He is our president when he is inaugurated because he won the election. I did not vote for him, but this is my country. I have RESPECT for the constitution and its prescribed processes, and therefore, like it or not.........Obama will unfortunately be my President.

I don't like it, but thats the way it is. Until they find otherwise, he was elected according to the constitution, and that is ultimately where my loyalties lie.

 

When and if he violates it, he will endure the full, painful extent of my patriotism.

 

ETA: I gotta say that I heard a lot of good things today. I overheard a conversation while I was at the grocery store today. A young black couple was in the same aisle, and the man said to his wife or girlfriend,"It felt good smiling a lot today. I should smile more often".

 

I'm not kidding. He actually said that. Regardless of whether we like the result, this was a very significant, and I'll grudgingly admit, positive milestone for the black community. I saw a visible change of attitude in a lot of black people I work with, and thats about 80% of my co-workers. I am the minority at work. Today way a very pleasant day of work, and I'll tell you right now that everyone knows who I voted for(McCain, duh). NO ONE gave me any grief over it. I gotta say, I noticed a general change today..... everywhere I went.

 

I will say right now that I AM NOT HAPPY with the result, but today was a very pleasant day. I am not dropping my guard though.

To call for violence upon his person is treason. Remember America -love it or leave it? Well now the pendulum has swung the other way. Now is when we show what we are truly made of.

It is the time of defeat that composts the old guard and their baggage, and allows good sense and better ethics to sprout.

 

The total lack of ethics killed the GOP. Too few perceived them as viable or believable saviors for the economy. "W" managed to out spend any "Tax and Spend Democrat".

Maybe Sara will get the Senate seat when the Senator goes to jail.Build a coalition of "Red Dog" Republicans and "blue Dog" Democrats that desert their Party...........

I can't believe that the fact that Black people are smiling is reason enough to ride this boat to the bottom of the ocean. I can't believe we have to do something more then what has been done over the last several decades to make the "black" community happy. Have we not bent over backwards and GIVEN them every advantage that we had to fight for and have to fight more for every day. Aren't we the ones who get called cracker, whitebread, honkie all the while if we say something that even remotely sounds like something they don't like WE'RE racists? FUCK I am so sick and fucking tired of having to work my ass off for something and then having some liberal fuck stick tell me I have to get some section 8 welfare sucking fuckwad more money so he can have the same shit I have. FUCK!!!!!! wake up, when is enough enough! How much longer are we going to keep giving and giving while others take and take?

Were the victors of the American Revolutionary War (1775 - 1782) judged as guilty of treason? I suppose it depends on who you ask. Can anybody remember the root cause of the American Revolution? Something about taxation and representation I think. hmmmmmmmmmm It hasn't mattered in my lifetime who was elected with one exception. The only time I felt represented was when Ronald Reagan was in offfice. People I talk to don't feel represented either. Just another thought.

The comment I heard was strange and struck me as odd. Its very simple: I could not relate to his feeling. I didn't say it meant anything other than I saw a lot of happy people, and this election was more than just an election to some people. Thats all I said. Are you so warped by politics that you can think of nothing else? You come off as aparanoid and delusional. He has done NOTHING yet.

 

 

I didn't say I was happy Obama won, and I have no idea where you got that from. All the "impeach him" shit is a page torn from the 2000-2008 playbook of retarded liberals. Has anyone fouund anything definite that disqualifies Obama from the Presidency? Has he even taken office and done anything that would make him impeachable? No on both counts.

 

He won. Stop being a child throwing temper tantrums. Save your energy for when he's in office, and for when and if he does something worthy of impeachment. The fact that he is not the one you voted for is not enough to justify all this bullshit.

That's a very nice response headshot but you didn't address anything I said. I don't insist that you do, I am just pointing it out. You say, "Elections can go one of two ways, and whoever's side loses is gonna feel that way." I have voted in many, many elections and have NEVER felt that way. Of course we have never had a self avowed Leninist, Marxist, Socialist voted into office either.

I would have to agree and that is due in large part to the fact that every aspect of his life was locked down including his birth certificate, his college papers and so on. I agree that he has not taken office yet. I agree that he has not done anything impeachable yet because of that. I also know that some of his top priorities, as stated by him, are unconstitutional. When and if he enacts such things I hope that we will be on the same side. I would like that but it is not neccessary because the good folks in 1776 also had many English sympathizers, even within the Continental Congress.

 

Bottom line, I understand your view and am for the most part in agreement. I just hope that you understand my view looking ahead at the possibilities.
