janusthephoenix 24
It seems that a rifle sling (not a carrying strap) is hard to find, but it may be because I don't know where to look. http://www.turnersling.com/miva/merchant.m...tegory_Code=PTS http://www.lonestarholsters.com/rifleslings These are the kind I'm looking for; the ones that you slip your bicep and palm through to stabilize yourself. Does anybody know where I could find one for less than $30?

UnidenStew 1
Don't get to hung up on all that tact-ta-cool stuff. I'm sure you can find something here that suits. http://www.zahal.org/rifle/#GunSlings These are good slings. It may take a couple weeks for your order to arrive, but it will get there. Your point is taken though, thank you. The style of sling I was looking for was M-1907, BTW. I'm still looking actively for a good price, but it seems like you get what you pay for, as usual for thing of this nature.

janusthephoenix 24
Found my solution. http://www.ray-vin.com/tech/websling/webslinghelp.htm http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/...leitemid=966254 Ding. Winner, for $12 plus shipping. It may not be snazzy or historically accurate for an AK, but I am practical if nothing else. Now I just need to paint it black.
Sunset_Va 2
Well, I am one fussy about a sling, and even the sling mounts too. I hate the bottom mount on the buttstock of most rifles, and use the side mount such as on a Kvar buttstock exclusively. I use the sling around my shoulder with the weapon under my right arm , the sling is normally as loose as it can be to carry the weapon about midriff location. Used properly, the sling can be one of the best stable platforms to use for firing your weapon. and choosing the wrong one can lead to just wasting your money and having a strap. As far as manufacturers , I don't have any to recommend. This link is a great place for purchasing a sling, I have used this company for binoculars also. http://www.opticsplanet.net/slings.html

Does anybody know where I could find one for less than $30? I bought a 3-point tactical FGA sling from www.slingsonly.com. I really like it. It may or may not be what you are looking for but check them out. I think $15 plus shipping.
