NH_Joe 0
I've got an inbound S17 and I'm wondering about the best way to mount a vertical foregrip on that short little tromix S17 handguard. Does one of the tromix rail kits work with the super-short S17 handguard? If not, is there another "add-on" rail kit that you all can recommend? Thanks! Joe

NH_Joe 0
Does one of the tromix rail kits work with the super-short S17 handguard? Yes. OK, which of these two rail kits is the one? MAA has both of these listed under "tromix parts." I'm assuming it's the shorter of the two. Are these rails plastic or metal? Thanks, Joe
TonyRumore 1,332
You just need one of the short rails. Grind the front of it at an angle so you can slide it forward enough that the hole in the rail lines up with the hole in the HG. Tony

Dirkenstien 2
Here you go..... hope this works! Megaladon, that's a sweet weapon you have there! What kind of Vertical Foregrip is that?
MEGALODON 0
Thanks! It's a Tango Down stubby, the original style. The QD version doesn't fit as well on the Tromix rails because it put it a little further back and hangs off the rail. The original style works great, it just needed some very minor radiusing along the front edge.
PetesTactical 1
Nice Gun! Were you able to get it with the M4 Stock adaptder from tromex with your conversiton? Also, what kind of top rail are you running?
MEGALODON 0
Hi, the folding/ collapsing stock came from Tromix. It looks like he used Ace hardware for it. The top rail is a Ultimax that Tony put on (it's been shortened and welded in place to fit). I'm going to guess he's not going to do the top rail anymore. I ordered 3 of these guns, and he really didn't want to do the top rail because he didn't think I would like it. It really is great, I just haven't had a chance to put an optic on it yet, but I will very soon.
PetesTactical 1
The S-17 I have on order has no HK sights with the intent of putting a rail on it. After seeing your set up, I would add the sights and rail if it could. That just seems perfect!
