Stealthmode 0
7.62 Saiga Tapco AK double hook FCG Got everything installed, and the trigger is solid/won't move. There's a tang on the front of the trigger that seems to be held up by the reciever. Do I have to notch the reciever to allow this tang to move? Thanks in advance. Feel free to call me a dipshit. madmax4x4 68
you could slot the other side to match or grind the bottom of the right side hook so it is not hitting the receiver. That is also a cheap way the adjust for over travel.
747mech 1
Um, okay, dipshit. You need to make a cutout for the other hook, just like the one for the single hook. Drill a hole, then dremel it open. You may have to grind in between the hooks of the trigger to clear the reciever, as well.

Stealthmode 0
Thanks guys. I'm looking all over the forum and don't see this issue, and then I see the FCG page on dinzags site. If I weren't so new to this Saiga thing, I would have realized the triggers I bought at the gun show were double hook instead of single. As if I know the difference. I'll drill out the reciever. arizona98tj 0
.... You may have to grind in between the hooks of the trigger to clear the reciever, as well. That was what I found when I was doing mine.

Paulry 50
I had this problem as well. Only on a .223 and not a 7.62x39.

22_Shooter 1,560
what are the advantages of double hook vs. single hook? Thanks Some say "a better pull". Most say "nothing". Just get a single hook and call it a day.
VanKiller 322
I can get a much better trigger using a double hook,( I think 1911 will vouch for this ) but the original intent was once stated as being for reliability under combat conditions........ Cobra 76 two 2,677
Plus one! I prefer a well polished double hook myself. I just got tired of having that argument a few years ago with folks that only believe it's outdated overkill.
OneStarTx 0
For the OP, I found that filing it out with a small round Needle File was quick (10 minutes) and looked better than the original single hook cutout. You will want a small file at the least to clean up your original cuts. My .02 cents.
