I guess I am the new guy here.I am glad I found this site.I just bought a saiga 308 w/ 16 inch barrel.I took it out to the ranch today for its first firing.

I grabbed 2 boxes of my handloads for my m1A and set up targets at 65 paces.

first group measured 1 1/4 inch w hornady 150 gr sp and the 2 nd group 1 1/2 with win 147 fmjbt is was after the barrel got alittle hot.I was firing off a bag on the hood of my ramcharger.I just can't believe how accurate this rifle is.

one question I have who makes the best scope mount and where to buy it.

thanks pete

I went another way and used the B-SQUARE mount on both of my .308 Saiga's.......I wanted a mount that sat low....and was solid....and it is solid.....but like my SUPER VEPR, I have to remove the mount to clean the gun......

I was worried about the scope being to high and not standing up to the recoil (re the other mounts)

I just use what ever normal scope I choose.

Since it is a AK variant.....it didn't matter to me if the mount was Russian or not, rather, that it be as solid as possible.
