THE_HUNTER 2
OK, I read this on a survival web site and it said you can use a .410 shotshell in a .45/70 rifle in single shot mode. Seems like a bad idea to me. What's your thoughts?
IndyArms 10,186
The 410 probably has less chamber pressure than the 45/70 generates... A rifled barrel will spin the shot pattern into a ring... so for anything beyond about 20 yards, you wont hit squat. Why bother is the next question... Yes, if your life depended on it, I would go for it, but since it doesnt...
THE_HUNTER 2
Just out of curiosity really. I don't have a .45/70 yet but like to know all options when I'm out in the Alaskan bush. I'd rather just pack a .22 pistol to knock off spruce hens for camp meat.
