BattleRifleG3 16
I just got me a Saiga 20 and would like to refinish the stock to be something different. I'm thinking reddish brown to match a recoil pad I have. In order to do that, I'll need to take the stock and forend off. So how do I do that?
pavel74 0
if the 20 is the same as the 12 for the fore end you take out the screw on the sling swivel, then pull it down from the front and out towards the muzzle. i have not taken of the stock, but you should just have to take out the two screws and pull rearward. comp21 0
I just got the forend off my 308... I had to remove two screws... the swing swivel screw and the screw at the end of the forend closest to the trigger on the bottom... (sorry, no pics) - I just inserted a screwdriver between the forend and the metal casing that houses the trigger (dunno the technical names, sorry), working the forend closer to the end of the muzzle hope this helps... thnx Andrew
BattleRifleG3 16
Thank you so much. I've been trying to find out how to do this forever. I'll try it next chance I get. Edited November 5, 2003 by BattleRifleG3
BattleRifleG3 16
Did it, it worked. Just the one screw in the sling swivel. Thanks! Now to decide how to refinish it.
