AKATTACK 5
I need to hear from those of you that have ordered from Oleg at Rusmilitary. Who delivered your order? I'm assuming U.P.S., but I need to know. I ordered the parts on Jan. 13, and the order was supposed to go out on the 14th. Still haven't received my order, debit card has been charged. Starting to get a bad feeling, not to blame Oleg, but I've had a package disappear when it came by U.P.S. before. Please let me know guys, THANKS! AKATTACK
MAC_TEK 0
AKATTACK, it will come regular (postal) mail. Transfered from royal mail to our guys. Email oleg (if you don't already have it) for your tracking # and go to royalmail.com to see if it has left the uk. Hope this helps (I know how ya feel!) chris410 0
I wouldnt worry about OLEG, it takes a bit of a while to come from overseas, just email him and I am sure it will all be OK. Deep breaths

Centerfire 1
Hello to the group! I've been lurking here for the past four months or so just soaking up all of the great info. One item I learned was that rusmilitary.com was one of the places that had the accessories I wanted and that they were good people to do business with. Interesting that I should find this thread tonight. I just registered to ask if anyone else had been waiting a long time for a package from Oleg. My order shipped on the 21st. of Dec. and I have yet to see it. I emailed Oleg last week and was assured that the Brittish postal service was essentially shutdown between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day. After more than a month of waiting, I'm starting to have my doubts about that package ever arriving. Don't get me wrong. I think rusmilitary.com is an honest business but does anyone think it's possible that customs is holding up these packages or even has begun seizing the packages? Any other ideas what might be taking so long?
AKATTACK 5
OK, I received an email from Oleg, my package has left the U.K. For you guys that have received products from Oleg, how long did it take your package to arrive? Thanks, AKATTACK
MAC_TEK 0
After it is out of the uk you should have it in about a week (+ or -) MAC_TEK
Doerdie 0
Customs can be very slow these days...post 9/11. My wife gets glass from overseas, it can take 2 months to arrive sometimes. 1/3 of that time it is sitting on a dock or in a ship waiting to be cleared for entry.
hardcorps1775 1
what doerdie sez. unless you're spending the MAJOR bucks for air or expedited delivery, expect an outside delivery time of 2 months. and that's for NONHOLIDAY orders!!! i ordered some stuff from england and after a couple months was pulling my hair out and just about ready to call the guy everything but a child of god. sure enough, just about then the package shows up and i checked the date and it WAS put in the mail two months previously...same goes for stuff from germany. stuff's just taking a lot longer nowadays and is getting more expensive... chris410 0
I ordered a ways back and waited the about 3 weeks, that was a very small package, just the sight kit.
shooter2 5
After waiting several weeks for my Rusmilitary order to arrive after it had shipped, and sending a couple of Emails to Oleg with no reply, I mentioned on this board that I was disputing the order with my CC company. Shortly thereafter, Oleg Emailed me and said he was waiting on reimbursement from Royal Mail (this even though Royalmail.com said my package had been transferred to the USPS), and that he would either send me replacement mags or credit my account. I chose the latter option. A couple days after that, my account was credited for an amount slightly less than my original total (due to further weakening of the US Dollar vs the Euro, I guess?). I'll live with my 5-rounders until a domestic option opens up. Edited to add: checked my CC statement online today, and the balance of my original order amount was credited on 1/21. Good to go. use2b 0
I ordered 2 - 8 rd mags dec.24th and got them 3 weeks later. Oleg did return my email and gave a tracking number. I was happy with his service
topmaul 42
I have been doing business with Rusmilitary for a while now and had no problems so please contact him and see what is going on, one thing when ordering from them make sure you note your confirmation number. nightjager 4
My order with Oleg was shipped on November 14, 2004. I never recieved my order, even though the tracking number from Royal Mail stated that the package was transfer to the overseas (USPS) carrier. Oleg placed a trace on the package, and it was never located. Oleg was compensated for the lost package, and I was given the option to have a replacement order re-shipped or a refund. I chose the latter. Rusmilitary is not at fault at all, there is something going on our side of the pond. I feel that 3 months delivery time for an overseas package is way out of the ordinary, considering that I recieve regular shipments from Sweden that arrive within five business days from the date the items were shipped (carrier is Fed-Ex). I believe that US Customs are seizing most packages from Rusmilitary. If you placed an order with Oleg since November, 2004 and recieved your package, consider yourself fortunate. Centerfire 1
use2b, Glad you got your merchandise in only three weeks. I've been waiting for mine for more than a month (shipped Dec. 21). When I emailed Oleg last week, I was told that I should expect long delays because of the holidays. I ordered more than two mags because I didn't know there was a dollar limit on imports at the time. Interesting that your package with two mags got through as did others who did not order mags. I'm strongly starting to suspect that packages with more than two mags aren't being lost but rather seized by our government. RDSWriter 5
Per my post about Form 6 importations.. Are U.S. citizens who are not engaged in the commercial business of re-sale subject to the importation limits of $100? (see thread) The ATF if usually very broad in their wording, as to extend their scope of discretion. Given that they were extremely specific in their Open Letter reducing the amount of non-approved firearm components from $500 to $100........... I highly doubt that the Customs siezed the packages. I have a friend that words for UPS... and there is no way in hell they would reimburse foreign companies for siezed items that are illegal for importation. For example, if you were the CEO of UPS, would you reimburse a company for seized child pornography? Would you reimburse shippers for seized cocaine that was labelled as 'herbal' products? NO F'N WAY!! Additionally, if they were siezed... it's a slam dunk case for Customs/ATF to prosecute and I haven't heard on any website of this occuring for any items that were not 'restricted' firearm components (e.g. improperly cut or complete machine gun receivers). Just my 2 cents... FYI - For what it's worth... 99% of what I've seen on this board about Oleg is positive. Edited January 26, 2005 by RDSWriter
REDDOG 0
Centerfire, I know the feeling on the wait, I too did not know anything about having to file a form 6 before ordering my mags from oleg. But I do think its just the slow ass people on our side of the pond that is causing the delay!! Still it kind of sucks that its taking so long, I think I'll reorder one at a time, one for each of my shotguns. Also glad to here use2b got his order so quickly, he must have filed the correct forms? Come on USPS....
Centerfire 1
Per my post about Form 6 importations.. Are U.S. citizens who are not engaged in the commercial business of re-sale subject to the importation limits of $100?Good question. I'm not 100% positive what parts of the letter apply to non-licensed individuals and what parts do. Because of that, I posted a direct link to the Open Letter on the Form 6 thread and I'm again posting it here. Maybe someone who is a licensed dealer, manufacturer, or importer can explain exactly what parts of the letter that apply to individuals vs. licensed busineses. Additionally, if they were siezed... it's a slam dunk case for Customs/ATF to prosecute and I haven't heard on any website of this occuring for any items that were not 'restricted' firearm components I'll agree with you that it would be easy to prosecute such cases but I just don't think it's worth BATF's time to prosecute for bringing in a couple of hundred dollars worth of *legal to own* items. It makes much more sense to just seize the items and let the person take a financial loss. A machinegun receiver that hasn't been properly torch cut or a silencer that can be used on a .22 just as easily as on an airgun is a totally different proposition. For what it's worth... 99% of what I've seen on this board about Oleg is positive. Again, I agree. I wouldn't have put my hard earned cash down if I thought Oleg was a crook. I have no beef with Oleg up to this point. Oleg has promptly answered all of my emails. Unfortunately, I still haven't received my mags. For the moment I'm taking a wait and see attitude but it's getting more and more doubtful that I'll ever see my package.
Centerfire 1
But I do think its just the slow ass people on our side of the pond that is causing the delay!!REDDOG, I certainly hope your right. I think I'll reorder one at a time, one for each of my shotguns. I was kinda' thinkin' the same thing, order one or two at a time. Also glad to here use2b got his order so quickly, he must have filed the correct forms? Come on USPS.... Hell, he must have some political connections!!! I have a couple of relatives who work for the postal service and I still can't seem to get one little box
hardcorps1775 1
damn, maybe oleg needs to start sending his u.s. packages in a plain brown wrapper...damn strange times when you can buy your pr0n openly and proudly, the more vile the better, yet firearms related items have to damn near be smuggled in... AKATTACK 5
The only items I ordered were the front sight bases for the Saiga 12 and .410 shotguns. I KNOW those items aren't illegal for me to order and the total was $92.40 and that was including the shipping, so there should be no problem with a form 6. I correspond with the law in every way and I still haven't seen my package. But it has only been 2 weeks. I'm going to try to see if U.S.P.S. can give me the package's new tracking number, I called them from work yesterday and the person I talked to told me that they should be able to do that. I place NO blame on Oleg at all. Once it leaves his door, he has no control over it, and I've heard nothing but good things about his business. I don't want a refund, I want the sights, so if I have to, I'm gonna take this all the way to U.S. Customs Service, my items were legal and so I'll keep you guys informed about what I find. dodgeturbointerceptor 1
I couldn't resist. I e-mailed them. I already spoke to Oleg@rusmilitary on 01/24/05 about 8rounders. I purchased alot of these. Last thing I want is hundreds going down the drain. I asked if there was any way he knew if this was happening. If he put specifics about worth of items, and exact description of items within package. If so. Could he please not. And if there was any other means of shipment which is more or less more secure for us to receive. I also asked about tracking said packages. vMy concern was pre-dominately about labeling, which really affects how Customs looks at these. I know sending to Canada is problematic this way. I had to label certain stereo equipment under a dollar amount to keep my friend from paying duties, and holding up shipment in process. I understand the US probably isn't going to ask recipient for "duties/taxes". but they may play games either with package/items, or Oleg..... I pray I see my mags safely in my hands a month or so from now.

I'd especially like to know about alternate shipping methods and his knowledge of US customs and US federal law regarding the items he sells and markets to his US customers. Blackjack 1
When I ordered the 5 sets of sight posts I had a while back it took almost 6 weeks to get them. When I send items over seas there's always a chance it will get snagged so I started posting a disclaimer on my site stating that I would ship over seas but would not be responsible for it if it got lost or held by customs.
