I want to add a Tapco T6 Stock and a Muzzle compensator and 30 round mag

What parts part do I need to replace to be 922r? I have read a lot of info on this great forum , but I'm confused as hell!

Please help.

Thanks,

Ranger

The first post in this section.... http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=18530 .... will let you know what parts "count" when it comes to 922r. You never mentioned if you have a Saiga shotgun or rifle.

For example, if it's a rifle, you pick at least 4 parts on the list in the link I posted, swap them out for US made versions, and you're set.

I'm assuming you're asking about a Saiga rifle, since you ask about 30 round magazines. If so, it depends on where the mags are made. If US made, you'd be in compliance using them with the US made T6 stock (but not foreign mags, including the one that came with the gun, as you're adding a pistol grip - unless you swap out a few more parts).

The US made pistol grip and muzzle device would not count towards compliance, since the rifles are not imported with either (however, adding a foreign pistol grip or muzzle device would increase the foreign parts count).

Maybe this will help:

This is a Saiga 12 forum 922r section sticky, btw.

Yes, I'm aware of it. I just wanted to give the direct link rather than a link to a link (just trying to save him a step).

Thanks to Superhawk,

and CMA G21 for this... http://thegunwiki.com/Gunwiki/BuildSaigaVerifyCompliance

Yes its the 7.62x39 rifle. So if I swap out the FCG and the gas piston I should be OK to put on my tapcoT6 stock and Muzzle compensator and 30 round mag. I have the pro-mag 30 rd mags so us made and the 10 rd mage that came with the rifle which is not US made!

I know there are stickys on this subject but I'm just try to wade through the the BS and get the helpful knowledge you all have to share!

So the FCG counts as 3 parts and the gas piston as one. which equal 4 parts...Am I correct?

http://thegunwiki.com/Gunwiki/BuildSaigaVerifyCompliance still confuses me!

Thanks

O.K., you're starting with 14 of the 922r listed foreign parts (Saiga rifle, as imported).

-1 for US made Tapco T6 butt stock = 13 of the 922r listed foreign parts

-0 for US made pistol grip (it wasn't imported with one) = 13 (note: if a foreign pistol grip is used, add 1)

-0 for US made muzzle device (it wasn't imported with one) = 13 (note: if a foreign muzzle device is used, add 1)

-3 for US made FCG = 10 (922r compliant)

-3 for US made magazine = 7 (922r compliant) (note: still 10 and 922r compliant with foreign magazine)

-1 for US made piston = 6 (922r compliant) (note: still 9 and 922r compliant with foreign magazine)

So you're 922r compliant even without the piston (as long as you use US made pistol grip and muzzle device), no matter which magazines are used.
