I gotta decide what color to paint the receiver on my AK pistol. It's got a quad rail fore grip and will have a black SAW grip. What color should I paint the receiver? I had a vision of a dark green receiver with black furniture, but I don't know if I should maybe stick with the black receiver.

Here are the colors I've narrowed it down to:

1. AUGGREEN_C.jpg

2. BLACKHAWK_OD_GREEN_C.jpg

3. ADANCED_TIGER_STRIPE_BROWN_C.jpg

4. HKDARK_C.jpg

5. BLACK_OXIDE_C.jpg

I'm kinda liking the AUG green, but I'd also like some feedback.

Black? I'd go with "whatever ugly ass black finish you can find". I used Krylon unevenly on my Saiga-12. It looks great from more than 1 foot away. But get your eyes within a foot of it, and you notice how crappy it is. My prepwork was shaking the can.

White with rhinestones studded all over it.

It's how I remember Elvis.

BTW I can't see the tiger stripes in that one pic.

Yeah, I don't think the tiger stripe green is actually tiger striped.

So we've got a 3 way tie between the AUG green and the two black finishes.

While a woodland bacon camo finish would be nice, I guess I'll go with black. I might even pull a twinsen and rattle can it with flat black. I'm missing a few small parts right now, I'll probably pick those up in the next couple of weeks, put the gun together, and then paint it.
