VAhunter 0
Anyone have any hints/tips? Looks to be the same as a standard AK -- push the pin out and press the barrel out. But I think the feed ramps on the barrel may be troublesome. I'm doing this for a refinish job -- can't parkerize and molyresin the thing and fit it in my oven. dnp 1
Somewhere here not too long ago Tony Rumore had a post on doing just that...you have to make a pusher tool and use a hyd press. Sorry for not so much info but maybe you can find it in "search"?

Merlin 0
Thanks, I have been looking for this the last 2 days!
Azrial 1,091
Thanks, I have been looking for this the last 2 days! Thanks 6500RPM, I have been looking for this as well. The scribe line that Jammer talks about is a great idea as well. Now, the question that pops up next is reinstalling it! I have usually used a piece of all thread in the past on Romys, then cooled the barrel with a bath of dry ice and acetone and heated the trunnion with a propane torch. Is this the recommended method for the S-12? I mean the barrel is a good bit less rigid then a rifle!
