Damn Straight! I hope that others follow soon the courageous lead of Texas and other States! I am sick of worrying about what silly BS the Feds feel like cooking up this week! We can retake control of this country, one state at a time!

Funny how you don't hear about this on television news............................

The media wants the public to believe that "Black Jesus" is in control and solving all the world's problems, as opposed to reality which is that the Union is about to fall apart and the stupidity of the federal gov't and stupid stuff like the "Porkulus Maximus" bill are going to make that breakup quick and ugly. Hopefully about 30 states take a stand and tell the Feds to eat a dick, it'll definitely bring about "Change" and not the overpriced/underdelivering type that Obammy is trying to sell us.

In all honesty, Texas isn't telling them to do anything just yet.

When a bill is introduced in either the state senate or house (assembly), it's just a bill that's been introduced. Thousands of bills are introduced that just die in committee. These states aren't telling the feds ANYTHING, until one of these bills is actually passed on the floor of both sides of the state legislature.

Good luck, I hope they get it on!!!

So just what is it Texas is telling them to do? I couldn't find anything specific on the site .

I've been home sick for a couple of days now and have Fox News on in the background. I just heard an interview with one of the bills originators, they're sending a message to washington. As I recall, "Since washington refuses to do anything to help Texas about the killings and illeagles comming across the boarder, Texas will, and Washington better not interfere".

I was in another room when I heard this but I think I got right. This was about 30 minutes ago, pretty sure Rush will pick it up today.

and

WHEREAS, The Tenth Amendment defines the total scope of

WHEREAS, Today, in 2009, the states are demonstrably treated

as agents of the federal government; and

WHEREAS, Many federal laws are directly in violation of the

WHEREAS, Section 4, Article IV, of the Constitution says,

"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a

Republican Form of Government," and the Ninth Amendment states that

be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people";

and

WHEREAS, The United States Supreme Court has ruled in New

York v. United States, 112 S. Ct. 2408 (1992), that congress may not

simply commandeer the legislative and regulatory processes of the

or lose federal funding be prohibited or repealed; and, be it

further

RESOLVED, That the Texas secretary of state forward official

copies of this resolution to the president of the United States, to

the speaker of the house of representatives and the president of the

Texas delegation to the congress with the request that this

resolution be officially entered in the Congressional Record as a

A quick google for "state sovereignty resolution" shows that there are several states who have this sort of bill on the table, including Oklahoma, Washington, Hawaii, Missouri, Arizona, New Hampshire, Georgia, California, Michigan and Montana. There is talk of Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Indiana, Alaska, Kansas, Alabama, Nevada, Maine and Pennsylvania introducing legislation for consideration as well.
