Twinsen 86
Anything roll crimped isn't going to work. 2-3/4 star crimps are what you need.
runofthemill 0
Nobel Sport is roll crimped, Correct?
segasaiga 0
So this fiocchi ammo thats roll crimped will not work with the drum? damn!
rotortuner 0
No go on the fiochi. That extra 1/8 inch or so just wont clear as it goes into the drum. CJG
runofthemill 0
Maybe someone could start a list of what buckshot loads will work? I don't have my drum yet or I'd do that. I would just like to be able to know what I can go ahead and order a supply of, so when I do get the drum I won't have any problems.
Gothmog 24
There is a sticky above for what will work in the drum, even though it about spring pressure and all that, it will also tell you what it will take. Also the instructions that come with the drum also outline this. I just took the info and made a short list and went shopping. Also just a note, when I use my Lee press jr. the crimp on new hulls is too tall, but on my Mec 9000 it's right on. So for the reloader be sure to mic your loads, I use a 8 point crimp, so I don't know if a 6 point would be different. I've put about 2000 rounds of my reload buck through one of my three drums already, I'm saving the other 2. Needless to say I just love this drum, and I glad I made the correct choice and ordered from MikeD. His dedication to his craft is extrodinaire, and I hope to see more of his products in the future. Thanks MikeD, once again HUZZAH!!
THE_HUNTER 2
Kudos to Mike! Test fire tomorrow!
Twinsen 86
Nobel Sport is roll crimped, Correct? I don't know. I reload my own. Do you own an MD-20?
runofthemill 0
I've ordered, but have not received. I like the Nobel Sport stuff for the price, but I'd like to know if it will work before I buy a ton of it. Of course I can always use it in the standard magazine. So I'm good either way. Jangles 2
So what is the problem with roll crimped slugs? Too long, too heavy???

Twinsen 86
They are too long to fit in the body of the magazine.
