It is still America, don't be a douche and insult the country, because you don't like its leaders, if you want to talk politics, there is a place for that. Using the term Amerika is frankly un-American and insulting!

yeah centerfire has them and as far as I know you spell America correctly no matter which douche bag is in charge. The current president hasn't started any wars lately and run the country into the ground economically. All of our gun problems are currently from the batf so direct your problems that way. Which branch of services did you serve again????

I just ordered one from classic arms and they said they'd be getting a new shipment in 7-10 days. I'm sure you could get one. It's $599 plus shipping, but they don't charge for CC payments like many places, and they throw in a second 5 round mag and a bulldog soft case.

Also, check out the online auctions. They usually have them for sale and the prices are between $545.00 and $900.00. Just shop around and keep your senses and you should be able to get one NIB for just under $600.00. The people asking between $700 and $900 aren't necessarily getting those prices, yet.

Ain't gonna let that go...

Well a 30% drop in the Dow since the press selected him, and a $2 trillion proposed deficit is sure running things into the ground if you ask me!

That's right, this guy will only surrender wars won't he?

Yup, insulting the place which I call home insults me, be that Virginia or the United States of America; if insulting your country doesn't insult you, perhaps you should go elsewhere.

That's all I have to say on this subject.

First, welcome. As Blackthorne stated. Stay under $600, yet remember some Gunbroker sellers or others charge as much as $35 shipping and find out your FFL's transfer fee. Most are around $20 to $25. :smoke: Now time for a rant. :killer: 4th of 5 generations of U.S.M.C. Say/Spell America as you want. Buried my first born 5 weeks ago for your right. Especially, since our current leadership has NEVER supported his effort of protecting those oppressed abroad. Our ancestors left Europe in 1832 to not get killed. His Great grandfather was 3 at Wounded Knee and only survived because his older sister fell on him after being shoot in the back by US Cavalery Troopers. And his great uncle at 14 fleed through the Warsaw ghetto sewers after the Nazi's crushed the rebellion. Maybe, just a bit pissed right now. Since, War Between The States, my people have bleed all over the world and at home, to just have it all go to hell, because the whinners, weasels and wackos have taken over, and will use Government Goomers to take what we have sacrificed for. :smoke:

So getting back on the subject of the thread, what suggestions do you have for places for him to look to purchase a Saiga-12 shotgun at a reasonable price, before Obama/Holder pulls a Clinton/Lloyd Bentsen, and redesignates them as Destructive Devices? I have seen a few good suggestions here and wonder if you have any other ideas.

But the BATF, like the FBI, IRS and other domestic enforcement agencies are not sovereign. Federal laws are drafted and passed by the House and Senate which govern their duties and responsibilities. Complaining to the BATF isn't going to get you very far in changing firearm laws or enforcement. The US Treasury Director does lay down directives he thinks best. But, at least in theory, these are strictly followed within the legal parameters of the law. Absent a revolution there are two remedies a citizen can employ to go about changing the law. One is, become political...run for office...cast a vote...support a preferred candidiate or political party which best represents your beliefs. The other is to file a lawsuit. With merit a favorable decision may be handed to you. Ultimately, the final interpretation of the Rights guaranteed in the United States Constitution, and legality of all other laws pretaining to a citizen, are the sole domain of the United States Supreme Court if they wish to rule on the subject. Heller went our way 5-4 to all who believe firearm ownership is a Right guaranteed by the Constitution. The next case can wipe that ruling away and a new law of the land will be imposed by case law. Supreme Court Justices retire and pass away...there is no guarantee how the next will lean in their opinion of what should be a Constitutional Right or not.

I'll probably get flamed for this but Treasury Agents are not bad people. Most are honest, hardworking people like everyone else. Working to pay bills and raise a family. If they do not perform their jobs correctly then they will get their butt chewed by their manager who in turn gets their butt chewed by the Territory Manager who gets their butt chewed by the Area Director and on and on and on. They have the same problems as anyone else. They may not even agree in the strictest sense of all of the laws they enforce but if they wish to stay employed they should remain silent. America was set up so that our leaders would be elected by the people, fighting with words and not swords. If you think you are not being heard then yell LOUDER

If you genuinely are looking for an S12 and not just trying to drop in and spout your personal opinions or instigate a verbal battle with the more volatile members :chris:

I find it very hard to believe that you were able to use your computer to find this site yet you were unable to do a google search for places that sell this weapon?

There are many of these weapons for sale at decent prices (for the current market) at any number of gun auction sites and resellers.

Could you please explain how it is that you have time to type your political views yet cant seem to spend a little time doing a search for what it is you say you want to purchase?

It just seems a little odd .......or maybe just laziness?

Oh,....and welcome to the site :D

Seen some a little cheaper, yet were being auctioned. :smoke: I, just resigned Fed. contract position 3 weeks ago, a good paying position. 2nd time I have left an agency in 20yrs due to new procedures. Swore an oath to constitution 1st time at 17. Not ever to the government. So doing it to pay your bills? Some put a price on their integrity.

Hey newbies, buy it and shooot the crap out of it. then look at changes and mods, atleast you'll know it worked before you converted it.

now for political crap.

I hate hijacking threads but......

This whole mess started last summer when the bubble burst on the real estate and the low rate mortgages started to jump. That was why the current president was elected. This whole mess started years ago with bad loans/ relaxing oversite and the government looking the other way, About nixon and carter's time. Just seeemed to get worse every couple of years. Everything started to come to light when the banks started to fold and that pulled the markets in. The government stepped in and gave out 700 billion to banks that bought up competitors or remodeled offices. how come your not bitching about that. Did they help you out with your mortgage? Anyone you know? The markets were going down last summer, the gas prices kept the average hyper inflated until the rest of the economy could no longer support the gas prices. No jobs to drive to, no money to buy the gas. Everything in the government takes 6 months to a year to be felt by us. Bush got out but this will haunt him. Could wipe out Obama if we don't see a turn around in the next 3 years.

We aren't going to know if anything the current pres has changed will work until next fall if that early. Maybe the following spring. This wonderful country of ours isn't 2 trillion in debt my friend, its at least double digits. this is just what they figure we need to keep up with the current spending this year. 2 trillion is what our government needs this year including the wars, might be more, some are saying 4 billion, the past president didn't allow those numbers included in the budgets. We constantly run on deficit, we just got in over our heads chasing oil and everything else came down at the same time.

Surrender wars......, how about moving from one front to the other. Bush signed an agreement to be out of Iraq by 2011 before he left, did you forget that already. Obama has to train down Iraq and build up in Afganistan to hopefully get that straightened out.

Just be glad that he has so much going on that he doesn't have time to chase our guns, if he gets a second 4 years is when we have to worry. Pelosi, and those nuts are the ones drooling over gun control, I think Obama was playing politics. Remember all the fuss over gay marriage during the Bush elections, what happened with that, They play the public to get the vote. Don't believe Limbaugh, he's an actor, entertainer.

Have you been writing your senators and Reps. I have and it seems to help. The real power is in those branches, they write the laws and the pres just signs or not, which can be overriden. Remember he said no pork but signed the 402 billion spending bill with 8 billion in pork in it, over 6,000 ear marks. HE isn't all that powerful if no one is backing him. They also remember who got kicked out of the government when clinton wrote the last gun contol bill, the reps and senators and they don't want that happening again. Don't vot e for the pres if you don't like the choices, but always vote for your representatives.

Last thing, you want to be afraid of something, how about they do to us what they did to smokers, big taxes on ammmo and guns would wipe out alot that bans couldn't. 3 to 5 dollars a round would make me reconsider shooting every other day. They are looking for money. might want to start buying up your supply.

Your right that they are not sovereign but they can ban import without consulting higher aurthority. Don't complain to them, just about them. Don't attract to much attention. I agree about the supreme court and we may have a few years before this court changes, hopefully.

I got to go and get my tin foil hat and go to bed.

I think I'll go buy a forth S12 tomorrow, just in case. To many friends, not enough guns.

Ouch! I've sworn a couple of oaths myself. One at 19 the other at 29. The Constitution is the embodiment of rights guaranteed by the founding fathers. The Constitution is amendable. It was amended before I was born and shall be amended after I am gone. The words may not change but the interpretation or intent is redefined by Justices. Due to semantics a passage out of the Constitution may mean one thing to me but reflect something altogether different to someone else. Just because I do not agree with all laws enforced by our country doesn't mean I'm going to give up my citizenship...I have too much integrity for that. Many in the armed forces do not agree with "don't ask don't tell" along with other rules and orders from their superiors, but they still have the integrity not to run away and continue to do their duty they swore to perform. And I never said I was employed by the United States Treasury. My wife is. Everyday of my life I can recognize something I do not 100% agree with but cutting and running everytime is not a practical. I wish I could get my way all the time...but I have bills to pay and children to raise and it would make me a piss poor parent not to provide for them. I'll just do what everyone else does. I'll talk about how dumb my superiors are behind their back...curse government regulations regardless of who is in charge...pay my taxes...and keep chasing the almighty dollar. If I'm a sellout then I have millions of Americans to keep me company during my miserable life.

(edit for speling of course)

Love mine too, but God the prices on the rifles are going nuts in my neighborhood. Haven't got that saiga 308 yet.

You should have read my whole post, "experts" are thinking 4 trillion depending on the wars, but again thats just our current deficit for spending, not what we actually owe. Estimates are above 50 trillion dollars. China controls alot of that.

Oh and Limbaugh already says that hate crap enough. You realize what will happen and how bad everything will be if this gov fails, don't you??? What is wrong with public schools? You think paying for private education is going to be cheap for the average family? Do you want a couple hundred million uneducated people running around trying to make a buck. Uneducated folks don't get well paid jobs. We need ditch diggers but to have a whole population slaves to their jobs below poverty levels would put us in worse shape than mexico is currently in. Have you seen the average house price in Detroit right now. Average house sold last DEC for 7500.00 dollars. What do you think they are now. I wonder how the crime rate is. Thats a bad neighborhood pal. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationw...0,5435392.story

Hi and welcome to the forum.

There's a couple Saigas for sale/trade in the For sale/Trade section. Sorry your first post struck a nerve in some people. I personally don't get offended as easily as others might. I served (and bled) for this Country. Heck, I almost died for it. And I would again if need be. If I was more easily offended, there's a lot more going on outside of the internet to be upset with than what someone types on a forum. But to each their own.

So again, welcome and hopefully you'll be able to get a Saiga soon and join those of us that have been bit by the "Saiga bug". It's not something that easily goes away once you get it either.

Dollar dropping, will make future imports more expensive. Find one, buy it, you'll be happy, since in a few weeks they can dry up or get real crazy in price. Example, Purchased a Krebs/Vepr a couple months ago here from member. The basic vepr now running 50 to 75% more than I paid for Krebs convert. Good luck and enjoy. :smoke:

I was under the impression VEPR 12 gauges could not be imported. I've never seen the 12 gauge version but I handled a 308 and it was nicely put together...very nicely put together. I watched the military channel last night and they were doing a segment on the Saiga 12. I noticed during the review one of the firearms looked like a VEPR...it had the magwell which eliminates the need for the front lip on Saiga magazines. I just assumned it was a VEPR even though they never qualified it as such. I also heard the receiver was thicker than the Saiga. I just paid $600.00 for a NIB Saiga and $300.00 for a second hand Saiga the last two weeks.

Should be more specific. Krebs/Vepr was a 7.62X39. S-12's stock were $300 to $350 in late 2006. Vector/Yugo underfolder $600 yr ago. $900 + lately. Just steady increase on high capacity long arms. See at current stock weapon, parts and workmanship prices. The Tromix, Krebs, Red Jacket, and Cobra weapons in the vault have at least doubled. This is without the got to get one before too late mentality. :smoke:
