The parent case is not the same dimensionally as the .308 winchester. The .307 was designed for lever action rifles. as is the .308 MX. As with ANY FIREARM.... *NEVER* use ammunition that does not exactly match what your specific firearm is chambered in. Swapping is not a good idea in any event... Yes, it *MIGHT* work... but how many times safely before you get a trip to the ER?!?! Quote Link to post Share on other sites
