pistonring8 1 Posted February 10, 2005 Report Share Posted February 10, 2005 One thing I gotta tell you is that the shotgunstock locked open is longer than a solid buttstock. I stand sideways when I shoot, so it fit me perfectly, but you might not like it. Also it is at a lower angle in relation to the rifle and might take some getting used to. I just dont want you to be mad when you mount it and find it to be a bit uncomfortable. You could take a bit of matirial off the pg to angle it upward at a straighter angle, or cut the angle of the seam greater to make the stock stick out straight instead of downward. Worst case cenario is that the ole' lady will work it out tonight when she gets home. But I should be able to do this. Ive seen her do it a million times. Cobra, Yup. Im going to go all out and convert it over. My AMD is on its way and I must have a matching pair...lol... I can tell the little lady that its not a $70 dollar mistake now, its only $20..... She likes the wood stocks and foregrips so I might order a nice set of thoes and maby sell my Saiga 30 rounders to make up the differance in the conversion price a little. She would look sooo much sweeter in russian wood! Maybe some one will get creative and offer an aftermarket 2 pc. retainer soon. Im just going to use the old cut it half trick for the retainer that Hugegator did on his. I agree the overfolder looks cool as hell, but it just wasent fuctional enough for my needs. Kinda like the muzzle break that I blew off! So this time I will get it right. A good wood set and a bead of weld around the muzzlebrake and I should be good to go. Im still ready to rock and roll on your bolt carrier Cobra. Ill be in my shop all month welding up panels on my rusty old truck for inspection. Just send along $3.85 for shipping and we will all be happy! I borrowed a case of metal polish from work too, want a bottle?
