Gogiants 0
When I say noob I mean noob. My only firearm experience is Glocks. I know nothing about long guns, shotguns, AKs or anything other than Glocks. Anyhow, I bought a Saiga 12 this weekend. I have been trying to research and I hop some of you will take pity on the new guy and help me out. My Qs: I know little about 922r, to use high cap mags, I need at least one more US made part (besides the mag) right? The stock seems short, so I can change it to a longer US made one right? About stocks and pistol grips. I think I might like a collapsable stock (is collapsable proper terminology, . I'll need a pistol grip too, correct? To add a pistol grip, if the stock I get is US made, I'll need 3 more US made part, right? If I don't count magazines(I may want to use the factory mag sometimes), what parts are easily and inexpensively changed? I figure stock, gas piston hand guard? What else? To do this conversion, the trigger needs to be moved forward right? Can this be another US part? Is this something a local gunsmith can do or should I send it off somewhere? FWIW, I live in Oklahoma City. Higher capacity magazines, do recommend Sure Fire or AGP? Thanks for the help, Jack

FWIW, I live in Oklahoma City. A basic conversion will achieve full 922r compliance with the parts you'll need to use anyway. Sending it out to a gunsmith is a waste of money. You probably haven't seen all the "Why did I wait this long to convert?" "It was easier than I thought!" posts here. If you can change the oil in your car, you can convert a Saiga.
