Doc226 0
Hello all, I have a new to me Saiga 308 with a Belarus side mount and a Bushnell scope on it. The person I bought it from never used the scope but included it in the sale. I mounted the scope and went to the range, I was unable to zero the scope, I ran out of adjustment before POI was good. Best it got was 2 feet low at 100 yards with the scope adjustment maxed out. I tried changing scope to a Mueller I have and same thing happened. Do I need different height on the rings? Would this work without flexing the tube on the scope. I dont think the actual scope mount is adjustable and the pins next to the screws pretty much set it place Help. I had exact same issue with this MTK-83 mount from Belarus. What I did was - I unscrewed both screws and vertically lifted the weaver base - be careful not to bend the pins. It is actually not that difficult. Then I put a steel washer under the front screw and put the base back on. It fixed the elevation problem, but the mount is still POS. I am getting a new one as soon as I get the funds.
soulless 0
same problem with my s308 too. I have the aK style side mount... It sits nice and level with the receiver but don't understand how this would affect the elevation so much. Tried it with 2 different scopes and say problem..

KySoldier 2
A Russian scope might offer you more adjustment too.
