Noob, so please forgive me, but why a drum?

Recommended Posts

As a noob I can't understand why a 20 rd drum is needed. What is the advantage to that over spending an equal amount of money and getting 5 or 6 stick mags with 10 or 12 round capacity?

I think it is cool, but what advantage does it offer?

Thanks,

Jack

Big +1.

Why have either of these....because I can and they are the Mac Daddy's in their class. And besides when the 13th zombie comes at me I'll still be plugg'n away and not reloading a mag. (They only run in packs of twenty)

Why a 20rd Drum? Because you can get a 10rd Tube-fed shotgun, but they can't touch 20 rounds... the fuckers!

Imagine a 55" tube to accommodate 20 rds.

Yes, this is my 55" BBL Benelli. It's great for capacity.

Yes, this is my 19" BBL Saiga, It's also great for capacity.

Saiga > Benelli or Berreta

Boom end of discussion.

There are a couple of good answers to this question.

Because the 50 round drum overheats a shotgun :)

Because the skeet shooters were startin to get used to the appearance of occasional stick fed saiga;)

But the only one that really matters .... because obama and friends don't want me to have one!!!!

Seriously, I don't know if I'd have gotten into firearms as deeply 8 years ago if there hadn't been a ban that rubbed me the wrong way so bad!!!! In some ways the AWB is responsible for a little arsenal at my house!!!!

It's my own little counter culture revolution!

When my drum arrived yesterday, my wife opened the package and exclaimed, "You bought a landmine?!?!"

I explained that while it wasn't a landmine it could sure as hell blow the hell out of shit like a landmine, to which she replied, "That thing looks evil!"

20 rnds of 12g at your service, just pull the trigger.

Liberals hate it.

Criminals fear it.

A must have gadget for the S12... Yes, you MUST have at least one.

It gives me a woody.

Cool factor at the range.

Cool factor when your buddy notices it sitting behind the door and drools over it... His wife wouldn't let'im get one.
