DaveS308 0
I just got a S-308 a couple months back and I've got 2 issues that have probably already been addressed, but I didn't see them. I am having troubles with the gun ejecting the spent round, maybe one in 10. I am also not liking the trigger. It seems you have to pull back and up on it. Otherwise I like this beast. Damn site heavier than my SKS tho.... but, serves a different purpose, I know. Thanks guys, I've sure enjoyed looking thru the gallery at what some of you have done with your weapons. Mine is currently fitted with Tapco collapseable stock and pistol grip, with a side scope mount, 4x92 scope and a laser/flashlight combo.
Cryogaijin 33
The second issue is the reason many people "convert" their saigas. Converting fixes the problem. What sort of trouble are you referring to? Failure to eject? I've never had any failure at ALL with mine.
DaveS308 0
Yeah, doesn't matter what magazine I have in it. The factory 8rd or either of the two 25rd mags. About 1 in 10 fail to eject all the way.
Cryogaijin 33
I'd take it apart, clean the gas tube, and try it again. IF that doesn't do it, return it to RAA.
DaveS308 0
Thanks Cryogaijin. Someone suggested that perhaps these rifles had an adjustable gas tube setting, I hadn't seen anything like that, but thought I'd ask you experts around here. Thanks again for the help!
