what is a tromix/galil hand guard and where does it go?

Im guessing you are referring to just the front handguard. It is a synthetic 1pc unit that is designed like the old wood handguard on the Israeli Galil weapon.

 

I dont know if the newer Tromix handguards are called a Galil style (they have a more updated look) Check pics on them at CSS, etc.

 

If you look at the picture of the #S21 Tromix 410ga at the very bottom of this link you will see what the Galil handguard for Saiga's

These require a small metal mounting piece to install

Not at all. It'll fit any Saiga shotty.

the grip i want is the hogue finger groove priced at 23.95,do i still need that part for conversion?

If you are doing a conversion, you will need a pistol grip. The Hogue is a good grip. The other part is a handguard for the front.

"o" ok now i get it ,i have a tri rail so i am ok on that front,i will be calling thursday in reference to the side mount,thank you.
